Alex Palou made the most of the day’s only caution to overtake pole-sitter Felix Rosenqvist during a late pit stop, securing his third win of the season in the IndyCar Series. Palou crossed the finish line at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach more than four seconds ahead of Rosenqvist, taking the points lead from Kyle Kirkwood, who finished fourth. Scott Dixon came in third in the 90-lap race on the 11-turn, 1.97-mile street course, marking his first podium of the season.
The race remained clean until a piece of carbon from a car fell into the driving line on the track, prompting a caution on Lap 58. Nolan Siegel, who started last, finished 12th, climbing up 13 spots. Marcus Armstrong finished 24th, dropping 11 positions from the start.
