Ant McPartlin Apologizes for Revealing Too Much About ‘Fights’ on I’m a Celeb South Africa

Ant McPartlin Reveals Exciting Details About Upcoming I’m A Celebrity South Africa Series

Ant McPartlin, the well-known host of I’m A Celebrity, recently shared some intriguing details about the upcoming South Africa spin-off series during an appearance on The One Show. The Geordie star, 50, joined his co-host Declan Donnelly, also 50, to discuss what fans can expect from the new season. During the interview, Ant had to apologize to ITV for revealing too much about the show’s content.

What Viewers Can Expect

The I’m A Celebrity… South Africa series originally aired in 2023, and the second series is set to return soon. This time, the show will feature former contestants who have participated in the original series, giving them a chance to compete once again for the £100,000 prize.

This year’s lineup includes notable names such as Scarlett Moffatt, Seann Walsh, Beverley Callard, David Haye, Sir Mo Farah, Ashley Roberts, Adam Thomas, Gemma Collin, Craig Charles, Harry Redknapp, and Jimmy Bullard. Each contestant will face intense challenges and trials, with the goal of becoming the ultimate legend of the show.

During the interview, Ant hinted at the increased difficulty of the trials this season. He mentioned that the challenges will be tougher, bigger in scale, and scarier than ever before. “This series gives you everything… there is drama, there is arguments,” he said. However, he quickly added, “Am I saying too much?!” before apologizing to ITV for sharing too much information.

The Live Final and Public Involvement

Clara Amfo, one of the presenters on The One Show, pointed out that there is a big plot twist in the final episode. Declan Donnelly explained that the final will be live in three weeks, with the public having the power to choose the winner. “We will bring everybody back together, and the public this time will choose who they think has done the best out of the campmates that are remaining, to choose the I’m A Celebrity legend,” he said.

Ant added, “If we get them all back together!” indicating that the live final could be a dramatic and exciting event. The series was filmed in September 2025 at the Kruger National Park, setting the stage for an unforgettable competition.

New Trailer and Exciting Challenges

A three-minute trailer for the upcoming series was released on Monday, giving viewers a first glimpse of the drama and challenges ahead. The second series of the ITV spin-off, which features some of the show’s most memorable campmates, is set to launch on April 6.

Hosts Ant and Declan will join the returning stars in the South African jungle for some of the biggest trials in I’m A Celebrity history. The trailer showcased intense challenges, including a terrifying eating trial that lasted over five hours. Former TOWIE star Gemma Collins was seen sobbing during the trial, while David Haye flashed his bum in the shower after being caught by Ashley Roberts.

Mo Farah was seen screaming as he was dropped into camp from a helicopter, while actor Craig Charles complained he was going to be sick after being spun around in a trial contraption. Harry Redknapp faced a horrifying eating trial, where something popped and shot out of his mouth.

Behind-the-Scenes Insights

Last week, Ant and Dec revealed behind-the-scenes details of a record-breaking five-hour eating trial on I’m A Celeb All Stars. At the star-studded launch for the ITV show, the duo teased what’s to come, including more drama and arguments than ever seen before.

Ant described the trials as physically bigger and tougher than ever before, with challenges such as a huge balancing board hanging off the side of a cliff and a full-size train set. Declan added that the celebrities were not prepared for the intensity of the challenges, with one trial taking so long that some campmates fell asleep.

“The portion sizes were brilliant, the biggest we have ever had before,” he said, highlighting the unique and challenging nature of the trials.

With its mix of drama, challenges, and public involvement, the upcoming I’m A Celebrity… South Africa series promises to be an exciting and unforgettable experience for viewers.
