A Night of Celebration and Friendship
Anya Taylor-Joy was in Hollywood, but not for her own moment in the spotlight. Instead, she was there to support her best friend, Miley Cyrus, as the pop star received a star on the Walk of Fame. The event marked a significant milestone for Cyrus, who became the 2,845th honoree on Hollywood Boulevard.
Taylor-Joy made a striking appearance at the ceremony, wearing a sparkling halter-neck mini dress paired with transparent stiletto heels. Her platinum blonde hair was tied in a ponytail, adding to the glamour of the evening. As she arrived, she drew cheers from the crowd, and during her speech, she shared heartfelt words about Cyrus.
“Miley didn’t just grow up in front of the world, she outran every expectation it set for her,” Taylor-Joy said. “Miley, darling, you have always been and are now quite literally a star. Thank you for shining brightly for all of us.”
Cyrus, 33, celebrated the honor in a sleeveless gown by Versace. She was joined by her mother Tish, sister Brandi, and fiancé, singer Maxx Morando. However, some family members, including her father Billy Ray and sister Noah, were notably absent from the event.

This moment comes nearly one year after Cyrus opened up about a difficult period in her family life. She revealed that her family went through a “really difficult, dark decade” but managed to work things out without therapy. While her father wasn’t present at the ceremony, Cyrus referenced him during her speech, saying, “My dad used to say that a skyscraper starts with a jackhammer. So does a star on the Walk of Fame by the way.”
Cyrus later smiled as she posed next to her new star, which is located directly across from the iconic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. Despite their rocky past, Cyrus and her father have recently appeared to be on better terms. In May of last year, they reunited in a photo shared on Instagram by the singer.
Speculation about a possible rift between Cyrus and Billy Ray surfaced back in 2025. At the time, a source told the Daily Mail that Cyrus was worried her father could interfere with her music comeback. Additionally, she did not mention her father in her speech when she accepted her first Grammy in 2024 for Best Pop Solo Performance for her hit track “Flowers.”
The celebration of Cyrus’s Walk of Fame star highlights not only her achievements but also the support of those close to her. It’s a night that will be remembered for the friendship, resilience, and triumph of one of Hollywood’s most beloved stars.
