Marshall Smith has once again proven his dominance in the Folkestone 10-Mile Road Race, successfully retaining his title on Friday. The athlete, representing Ashford AC, showcased exceptional performance by completing the race in an impressive time of 55.02 seconds. This achievement places him almost a minute ahead of his closest competitor, Dillon Hobbs from Tunbridge Wells Harriers, who recorded a time of 56.00 seconds. In third place was Will Trease of Notts AC with a time of 56.31 seconds.
The race attracted a total of 764 participants, making it one of the most competitive events of the season. Smith’s victory marks his third 10-mile triumph since 2022, solidifying his reputation as a top-tier runner in the region.

The women’s race also saw some outstanding performances, with Helen Winsor from Tonbridge AC taking the top spot with a time of 1:02.14. Her clubmate Nichola Evans followed closely behind with a time of 1:02.54. Completing the podium was Melody Kane of Petts Wood Runners, who finished in 1:05.57.
