beOnd Expands Luxury Network with New Routes to the Maldives
A boutique airline dedicated exclusively to business class travel, beOnd, has unveiled plans to launch new routes connecting two major European capitals, London and Paris, to the idyllic Maldives. These highly anticipated services are slated to commence in December 2026, promising an elevated travel experience for discerning travellers.
Initially, the airline intends to operate three weekly services on each of the new routes. Flights will depart from London Heathrow Airport and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, with their destination being Malé International Airport in the Maldives. Both the outbound and return journeys are scheduled as overnight flights, utilising the sophisticated Airbus A321 aircraft.
It’s important to note that these services will not be direct, non-stop flights. Passengers can expect a single refuelling and technical stop at Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai during their journey. This strategic stop ensures operational efficiency while maintaining the premium service standards beOnd is known for.
These new routes from London and Paris represent a significant expansion for beOnd, building upon its existing European network. The airline currently offers services connecting the Maldives to other popular European hubs, including Munich, Zurich, and Milan.
Furthermore, beOnd is set to enhance its frequency on several of these established European routes. Flights to Munich, for instance, will see an increase from two services per week to four. Similarly, the number of weekly flights to Zurich will be boosted from two to five. These adjustments are scheduled to be implemented from mid-December 2026 onwards, reflecting growing demand and beOnd’s commitment to expanding its reach.
The Ultimate Luxury Flying Experience
beOnd positions itself as the “first pure luxury airline,” a bold claim underscored by its exclusive operational model. The airline currently operates a fleet of two aircraft: an Airbus A321 and an Airbus A319, both configured entirely for business class. This singular focus allows beOnd to meticulously craft an unparalleled passenger experience from start to finish.
The onboard facilities are designed to redefine luxury air travel. Every seat on the aircraft is a lie-flat bed, ensuring passengers can rest and arrive at their destination feeling refreshed. The service is premium throughout, complemented by a curated onboard dining menu. This culinary offering is developed by world-class chefs, drawing inspiration from the diverse flavours of the destinations served.
To maintain an intimate and exclusive atmosphere, flights are kept relatively small. The Airbus A321 aircraft, for example, has a capacity of just 68 passengers. The cabins themselves are a testament to luxury and design, featuring seat shells designed by Ferrari and exquisite Italian leather fittings.
In-flight entertainment has also been reimagined. Instead of traditional embedded screens, passengers are provided with Apple iPad Pro tablets. To enhance the immersive experience, they can also enjoy premium Beats headphones and advanced VR Apple headsets.
The commitment to a seamless luxury experience extends beyond the flight itself. All flight tickets include a private chauffeur pick-up service, ensuring a stress-free journey to and from the airport.
Backing and Global Presence
beOnd is supported by a strong financial foundation, backed by Arabesque, a prominent investment firm, and the SIMDI group, a leading Maldivian fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) group. The airline is currently headquartered in Dubai, with its operational base strategically located in the Maldives.
Currently, beOnd is one of only two airlines globally to operate an all-business class model. The other is the French airline La Compagnie, which primarily offers services to and from North America. beOnd’s expansion into the Maldives market from key European cities signifies its ambition to become a leading name in the ultra-luxury segment of air travel.
