Shiloh Jolie Makes Music Video Debut as a Dancer
Shiloh Jolie, the 19-year-old daughter of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, made her music video debut as a dancer in a K-pop track. The star appeared in Dayoung’s video for the song What’s A Girl To Do, which was released on Starship Entertainment’s official YouTube channel. The video showcases Shiloh’s unique sense of style, with a lace cropped top and baggy pants that highlight her fashion-forward approach.
Her appearance in the video was notable not only for her style but also for her striking resemblance to her mother. Her hair was partially braided and pulled back, drawing comparisons to Angelina Jolie’s iconic look. In one scene, she joined a group of backing dancers, while in another, she was seen casually hanging out with friends in a spacious room alongside Dayoung, who is also a member of the girl group WJSN.
Shiloh reportedly landed the role through an open audition, which Starship Entertainment held in the United States. A representative from the company shared details about the process:
- We held an open audition in the United States of America (US) to cast performers for Dayoung’s music video.
- Among those who took part were several performers affiliated with a dance crew called Culture.
- Shiloh was selected in the final round and ended up joining Dayoung’s music video.
- Even after filming, we had no idea she was the child of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, and only found out by chance quite recently.
A Passion for Dance
Shiloh has shown a clear passion for dancing, often attending dance classes in Los Angeles. Choreographer Kolanie Marks, who has worked with her at the Millennium Dance Complex, praised her dedication. He mentioned:
- My style is a lot harder for a lot of people and it’s something that she’s dedicated herself to trying to figure out.
- That’s something I don’t talk to her about. I keep it very strictly based off of what we focus on, which is the dancing.
- She’s not only training with me. She trains with a lot of other people. Whatever dance is for her, she is dedicated to it. That’s what I love.
Family Dynamics and Privacy
While Shiloh is pursuing her passion for dance, her mother, Angelina Jolie, has spoken about her children’s desire to avoid the spotlight. During a panel discussion at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Jolie revealed that her children are not interested in following in her acting footsteps.
- I always wanted them to be around film because I wanted them to know as a part of – it’s such a wonderful family, to be creative, to be an artist, to be… They’re not interested.
- They really don’t like any of the celebrity part of it, especially Shiloh hates it.
- I think in a very healthy way they don’t… It’s not a normal thing. It’s a silly thing really.
Jolie has six children with ex-husband Brad Pitt: Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, Zahara, 21, Shiloh, as well as twins Knox and Vivienne, 17. Following a bitter eight-year legal battle, Jolie and Pitt reached a divorce settlement in December 2024.
Shiloh has also taken steps to distance herself from her father, dropping his name from her legal name in August 2024. Her new legal name is Shiloh Nouvel Jolie, which she filed to change on her 18th birthday.
