The 44-year-old spent the night in jail. Arrest records indicate that she was formally charged around 3 AM on Thursday and released three hours later. Sources close to the situation reported by TMZ suggested that Spears was “crying a lot” while being processed at the jail.
Details from a 911 call described the vehicle involved as a black sedan that was “swerving and driving with no tail light,” exhibiting “erratic braking.”
