Cadbury World Unveils Colossal Mega Mini Egg for Easter Spectacle
Chocolate enthusiasts are in for a treat as Cadbury World has officially unveiled what it claims is the “world’s largest” Cadbury Mini Egg. This monumental confection, christened the “Mega Mini Egg,” is set to captivate visitors with its sheer size and iconic design.
The colossal milk chocolate egg, measuring an impressive 70cm, boasts the instantly recognisable speckled, pastel pink, crisp sugar-coated shell that millions know and love. This magnificent creation will be on public display at Cadbury World in Bournville, Birmingham, throughout the Easter period, running until Sunday, April 12th.
Crafted with dedication and expertise by Cadbury World’s skilled chocolatiers – Claire Fielding, Dawn Jenks, and Donna Pitt – the Mega Mini Egg is no small feat. This larger-than-life Easter delight, weighing a substantial 55kg, was brought to life over a dedicated two-day period.
Ms. Fielding shared the inspiration behind this ambitious project, stating, “After the amazing reaction to last year’s gigantic Cadbury Creme Egg, we knew we had to craft something just as fantastic for 2026.” She elaborated on the choice of the Mini Egg, highlighting its beloved status: “Cadbury Mini Eggs are another absolute favourite and a British Easter staple, so creating the Mega Mini Egg felt like the perfect next challenge.”
The process involved meticulously recreating the familiar elements of the classic Mini Egg on an unprecedented scale. “We took that instantly recognisable shell and chocolate centre and scaled it up into a real showstopper,” Ms. Fielding explained. The chocolatiers expressed their satisfaction with the finished product, with Ms. Fielding adding, “It’s been so rewarding seeing it come to life, and we can’t wait for visitors to come and see it in person this Easter.”
Beyond the awe-inspiring Mega Mini Egg, Cadbury World has curated a festive Easter experience for all ages. Visitors attending during this special period can also immerse themselves in Freddo’s Egg-cellent Easter Show. This interactive stage show promises fun for younger visitors, inviting them to join in and help complete a series of exciting missions, adding an element of playful engagement to their visit.
