Celine Dion fans showed how strong the Power of Love can really be as more than a million of them queued for her tour tickets this morning.
The music legend, 58, recently announced her surprising return to the stage, with 16 shows in Paris throughout September and October.
Many feared they would never see Celine perform again due to her health issues, after she was diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome in 2022 and detailed her challenges in an emotional Amazon Prime Video documentary.
However, tickets for the Paris residency went on general sale at 10am on Friday and there’s no denying her fanbase is as strong as it ever was. Fans, including those in the UK, expressed their pain at being stuck in queues on Ticketmaster with more than a million people in front of them.
This week, it was reported that nine million fans had signed up for the pre-sale alone.
@dob_styles wrote on X: ‘I don’t even know why I’m trying for celine dion tickets. I’ve got 1 million(!) people in front of me.’
Sharing their misery, @mtvareshvili wondered: ‘But how did people manage to get their tickets for Celine Dion?? I was on the site 3 quarters of an hour early and I’m a millionth in line.’

Feeling hopeless and frustrated with the wait, @aracelou weighed in: ‘Over 1 million people in the waiting line, that’s a joke I hope?!’
@NARRYWlNCHESTER was highly amused by the turnout and added: ‘I’ve surpassed the million mark in the Céline Dion waiting queue lmaoooo.’
It will be a full circle moment for Celine, who was forced to cancel her world tour four years ago as her health deteriorated. The Grammy-winning singer made a brief comeback in 2024 when she performed at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony, singing Edith Piaf’s L’hymne à l’amour.

Being diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome means that Celine experiences rigidity in her limbs and painful muscle spasms.
The My Heart Will Go On Tour singer announced her return on Instagram earlier in April, and said: ‘I’m so ready to do this. I’m feeling good, I’m strong, I’m feeling excited, obviously, [and] of course, a little nervous.’
‘I’m doing great, managing my health, feeling good. I’m singing again, even doing a little bit of dancing.
‘But I have to tell you something very important: Over these last few years, every day that’s gone by, I felt your prayers and support, your kindness and love.’

‘I am grateful to all of you. I can’t wait to see you again,’ the Because You Loved Me she added.
The Paris shows will take place at La Défense Arena in September and October – 10 shows were originally announced with six extra dates added due to high demand.
With her comeback well underway, Celine is now a favourite to perform at Glastonbury when the festival returns in 2027, with Paddy Power fancying her odds in the Sunday Legends slot.
