The domestic violence allegations surrounding Taylor Frankie Paul have taken a disturbing new turn with the resurfacing of a video depicting a violent altercation. The clip, released by TMZ and dated March 19, captures the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star engaged in a heated exchange with her ex-partner, Dakota Mortensen.
During the footage, which appears to have been filmed in 2023, Paul is seen throwing multiple chairs at Mortensen. He can be heard narrating, “This is called physical abuse.” Adding to the distressing scene, Paul’s eight-year-old daughter, Indy, is present in the room and visibly distressed, crying as the argument escalates.

Mortensen pleads with Paul, stating, “See, Taylor? This is all you do. The only thing you know how to do is hurt me. You think this is okay? It’s not okay.” Paul’s response is defiant, with her reportedly saying she “doesn’t give a f—” before continuing to physically assault Mortensen.
Mortensen implores her to stop, highlighting their daughter’s presence: “Let me go! Stop! Dude, leave me alone… Your daughter is right here.” The argument intensifies, with Paul screaming undisclosed remarks while Mortensen repeatedly urges her to cease. “You’re done. That’s it. No more….” he declares, adding, “I’m done taking the blame for you.”

The child’s cries of “Mommy” punctuate the volatile exchange. Paul is heard shouting at Mortensen to “get the f— out.” Mortensen then makes a serious accusation, stating, “Your daughter just got hit in the head with a metal chair… go and help your daughter now.” Paul retaliates by telling him to “get away” from her child, while Mortensen expresses his love for Paul’s children. He also points out that Paul appeared to be “drunk” and “not okay” at the time.
Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen share a son, Ever, aged two. Paul also has two daughters, Indy, eight, and Ocean, five, from her previous marriage to Tate.
Legal Proceedings and a Plea Deal
The disturbing video emerges in the wake of legal proceedings against Taylor Frankie Paul. In 2023, the influencer pleaded guilty to aggravated assault. As a result, she was placed on a three-year probation period, which is scheduled to conclude in August.
It is important to note that initial charges of child abuse and domestic violence in the presence of a child were subsequently dismissed.
A representative for Taylor Frankie Paul commented on the resurfaced footage to TMZ. They stated, “It’s sad to see the latest installment of his never-ending, desperate, attention-seeking, destructive campaign to harm Taylor without any regard for the consequences for their child. Releasing an old and selectively edited video on their son’s birthday is a reprehensible attempt to distract from his own behavior.”
Addressing the Headlines
Taylor Frankie Paul has publicly addressed the domestic violence investigation. In a recent appearance on Good Morning America, she shared her feelings about the ongoing scrutiny.

“Honestly, it’s been a heavy time to see the headlines, especially during this time of The Bachelorette being released, and it’s supposed to be a really exciting time,” she explained. “I’m a person who will always speak my truth, and that’s what I’m known for. And, so, when the time is right, I will be. But right now, just trying to be in the present moment and focus on this.”
Her upcoming season of The Bachelorette is slated to air on Sunday, March 22. However, there are circulating rumours that the network ABC may consider pulling the episodes in light of these developments.
