Chocolate Smash Cake Recipe

- 290g packet of Milk Choc Melts, melted and cooled
- 100g packet of original fried noodles
- 130g bag of M&M’s Crispy Speckled Eggs, half of them roughly chopped
- ¼ cup of White Choc Melts, melted, for decoration
- Assorted size Easter eggs, for filling and decorating the cake
Method
Step 1
Lightly grease a 1.25 litre, 18cm wide, round bowl. Line the bowl with plastic wrap to make it easier to remove the cake later.
Step 2
Place the Milk Choc Melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Melt them on Medium power in 30-second bursts until they are smooth and fully melted.
Step 3
Add the fried noodles to the melted chocolate. Stir to combine everything evenly. Then, gently mix in the roughly chopped M&M’s Crispy Speckled Eggs.
Step 4
Press the mixture into the base and sides of the prepared bowl. Make sure the edges are level and even. Place the bowl in the refrigerator and chill for about an hour to allow the mixture to set.
Step 5
Once the mixture has set, use the plastic wrap to lift the shell out of the bowl. Fill the center of the shell with assorted Easter eggs, reserving some to use for decoration. Place a serving plate on top of the filled shell and carefully invert it so the cake is now sitting on the plate.
Step 6
Drizzle the melted White Choc Melts over the top of the cake. Arrange the reserved Easter eggs on top for a decorative touch. Let the cake sit for about 10 minutes so the chocolate sets and hardens.
