Cruz Beckham’s Painful Pinky Incident and a Star-Studded 21st Birthday Bash
Budding musician Cruz Beckham, now 21, has given fans an unfiltered glimpse into the making of his latest single, “For Your Love,” revealing a rather graphic behind-the-scenes mishap: a chopped pinky finger. The incident, which occurred prior to the filming of the music video, saw the young artist sporting bandages as he and his band, Cruz Beckham And The Breakers, worked on their upcoming hit.
The footage, shared on Cruz’s official YouTube channel, offers an intimate look at the creative process. Fans were treated to scenes from the video shoot, which is believed to have taken place last November. The band, accompanied by a dedicated film crew, captured shots inside Tony’s Traditional Pie and Mash in Essex, a location that held a personal touch with David Beckham’s signed jersey proudly displayed.
One of Cruz’s friends, involved in the filming and providing a running commentary, shared the rather alarming detail: “All right. This is the iconic Tony’s Pie and Mash and that’s where we’re filming the beginning of the music video for For Your Love. So the day before his music video, he decided to cut off the end of his pinky.”

Cruz himself later opened his phone to share blurred footage of the accident, a stark reminder of the physical toll the creative process can sometimes take.
The production of “For Your Love” proved to be a true family affair. Victoria Beckham’s father, affectionately known as ‘Grandpa Tony,’ played a pivotal role in the music video. The 77-year-old was tasked with the crucial job of introducing Cruz and The Breakers at the outset of the song. His wife, Jackie, also lent her talents, humorously taking charge of styling and selecting Tony’s vibrant, striped suit jacket. Jackie even quipped about their “cheap” labour, adding a lighthearted touch to the professional setting. After multiple takes, Tony beamed with pride, clearly moved by his grandson’s performance, tapping his foot to the rhythm behind the camera.
The behind-the-scenes clip concluded with Cruz signalling the end of the shoot: “That’s a wrap on For Your Love. It’s been good. On to the next one.” He then added, with a touch of candid pain, “Bro, I’m in just so much pain. Thanks for watching, we love you. On to the next, more coming soon.”

This milestone birthday celebration comes after Cruz recently marked his 21st birthday with his closest family and friends. The festivities were held at The Maine in Mayfair, with the event grandly themed the “Grande Beatle Ball,” a tribute to the birthday boy’s profound musical inspiration. Guests were treated to an energetic performance by a live Beatles band, ensuring everyone was able to “Twist And Shout” well into the night.
Cruz was pictured beaming alongside his girlfriend, Jackie, who is ten years his senior, and his iconic parents, David and Victoria Beckham. A sweet black and white photograph captured the foursome, with Victoria playfully flashing a peace sign. The birthday boy also enjoyed a celebratory cocktail while posing with his younger sister, Harper, aged 14.
A particularly touching moment of the evening saw Victoria, Harper, and Jackie take to the stage to deliver a heartfelt speech, bringing Cruz to tears. The young musician, who has notably shown unwavering loyalty to his mother amidst family rifts, was visibly emotional as he watched the touching tributes from the women in his life, seated next to his father, David.

The absence of Cruz’s older brother, Brooklyn Beckham, at the celebration was not unexpected. The aspiring chef, now 26, has been focused on forging his own path and building a life in the United States, seemingly distancing himself from his family. This sentiment was echoed over the weekend when Brooklyn declared on Instagram that he would “forever protect” his wife, Nicola Peltz, amidst ongoing family tensions. He shared a romantic image of himself and Nicola, accompanied by a loving Valentine’s Day message expressing his deep affection and commitment.
