Disney has officially reopened its latest theme park, a stunning addition inspired by the beloved Frozen movie franchise. The project has required an impressive investment of £1.7 billion, but the response from fans has been overwhelmingly positive, even convincing those who were initially sceptical.
The new area, called the World of Frozen, is part of Disneyland Paris and was first introduced to a select group of guests before its official reopening later this year. Among the attendees at the event were notable figures such as Naomi Campbell and French President Emmanuel Macron, highlighting the significance of the launch.
The park is now aiming to attract millions of tourists who visit Disneyland Paris annually. This expansion, which cost around €2 billion (approximately £1.7 billion), has transformed the park into a more magical experience for both children and adults. It seems that even those who do not typically consider themselves Disney fans are enjoying the new look.

According to reports, the opening of the World of Frozen marks a significant milestone in the park’s expansion. A range of high-profile individuals were invited to experience the new attraction, including Spice Girl Emma Bunton and former This Morning host Holly Willoughby.
The new section of the park is designed to reflect the fictional city of Arendelle, where the 2013 Frozen film was set. It features a medieval aesthetic with large castle fortifications, tall church spires, and other elements that bring the world of Elsa, Anna, and Olaf to life. Fans have been captivated by the whimsical Scandi-style gabled rooftops and vibrant Nordic-style waterfront buildings that line the streets of Arendelle.
There is also a massive artificial mountain that stands at an impressive 118 feet (36 meters) high, offering a breathtaking view for visitors. The area includes Adventure Bay, a lake spanning 7.5 acres with a striking aquamarine hue. Beyond the architecture, characters such as Oaken, Mossie, and even Olaf can often be seen wandering through the streets, adding to the immersive experience.

Inside the castle, guests can enjoy a true taste of Frozen magic, with recognizable songs like “Let It Go” playing while animatronics perform them. Visitors can also take a boat ride along the “fjords” of Arendelle, further enhancing their immersion in the world of the film.
Despite the grandeur of the Frozen-themed area, this is just the beginning of Disney’s plans for the park. Construction is currently underway for a section dedicated to The Lion King, which will transport visitors deep into the Pride Lands to follow Simba’s adventures.

Even those who do not consider themselves fans of Disney have been impressed by the spectacle of the park. Benjamin Parker from the Daily Mail, who described himself as someone who is not typically a fan of Disney, was won over after visiting the attraction.
“By the time we make our way home, I’m humming Disney tunes that have, it turns out, been lodged somewhere in my mind since childhood,” he wrote. “For parents, the experience may be exhausting, but to see the happiness in your child’s eyes is entirely worth it.”
Meanwhile, Disneyland Paris continues to play a vital role in France’s economy, contributing approximately 6.1% of the country’s tourism income since its opening. With popular attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean, Alice in Wonderland, and Cinderella remaining as popular as ever, Disneyland Paris shows no signs of slowing down.
