Nine out of the top ten trending destinations are coastal, with the Gold Coast retaining its perennial top spot. Hotspots like Port Stephens and Noosa are also proving incredibly popular.

Interestingly, a significant 79 per cent of Australians are opting for local travel this year. This suggests that rising fuel prices are indeed playing a role in shaping holiday decisions, encouraging more people to explore destinations closer to home.
