Eurovision Star Joins Strictly Come Dancing 2026

Delta Goodrem, the renowned Australian singer, is reportedly in talks to join the cast of Strictly Come Dancing. This comes as the show’s producers are actively working on finalizing this year’s lineup. According to recent reports, the 41-year-old artist has been on their radar for several years. A source shared with the Daily Mail that the deal is “all but a done deal,” emphasizing that she is a strong addition to the show. The Independent has reached out to Delta Goodrem’s representatives and the BBC for further details.

Goodrem first signed a record contract in the early 2000s and quickly became a household name in Australia. Her debut album, Innocent Eyes, peaked at number two on the UK charts. Over the years, she has sold over nine million albums and topped the charts in eight countries. In addition to her music career, she gained fame for her role as Nina Tucker in the long-running television series Neighbours.

This year has already been a busy one for Goodrem, as she was confirmed to represent Australia at the Eurovision Song Contest. This marks the country’s participation since 2015. She will perform her new song, “Eclipse,” at the event in Vienna next month. Expressing her excitement, Goodrem said, “As a singer-songwriter, music has been my lifelong passion. I’ve always loved the creativity, individuality, and joy Eurovision brings, connecting and uniting people across the globe through music; the universal language. I can’t wait to arrive in Vienna and make Australia proud.”

Meanwhile, Strictly Come Dancing is undergoing significant changes. The show’s production team has recently announced the departures of four long-serving professional dancers: Karen Hauer, Luba Mushtuk, Nadiya Bychkova, and Michelle Tsiakkas. Tsiakkas, who had only one celebrity partner during her four years on the show, revealed in her first interview after leaving that she received the news unexpectedly via Zoom. She described the experience as devastating, stating, “It felt like my world was falling apart, my dream was shattered. I gave my everything to the show for the four years – it was my whole life.”

The show’s producers have yet to announce replacements for hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, who stepped down after last year’s series. Several high-profile names have been linked to the presenting roles. Alison Hammond recently shared that she turned down one of the opportunities. Speaking to Radio Times, she explained, “I’m so busy, babes, that I’m not sure it’s going to happen. It’s unrealistic. I’m so happy they considered me but, like Traitors, I can’t do it because everything clashes.”

Other potential candidates for the hosting positions include Holly Willoughby, who previously worked with Hammond on This Morning, and Zoe Ball, an ex-host of It Takes Two.

The show continues to evolve, with fans eagerly anticipating updates on the new line-up and creative direction. As Strictly Come Dancing prepares for its next season, the inclusion of stars like Delta Goodrem adds an exciting dimension to the competition. With new faces and fresh energy, the show is set to deliver another round of entertainment, dance, and drama.

For viewers, the show remains a beloved staple of British television, known for its blend of talent, charm, and high-energy performances. Whether it’s the return of beloved dancers or the arrival of fresh talent, Strictly Come Dancing continues to captivate audiences with its unique blend of sport, art, and entertainment.
