Gemma Collins Makes a Bold Return to I’m A Celebrity… All Stars
Gemma Collins, the TOWIE star known for her dramatic exit from the original I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2014, has made a bold return to the show with a new mindset and determination. This time, she is not planning to leave after just 72 hours, as she aims to redeem herself and prove her strength.
Gemma’s entrance into the South African camp was nothing short of glamorous, as she arrived in a flowing green caped gown. She was accompanied by BBC Radio 6 presenter Craig Charles, who also made a return to the show. However, the glamour didn’t last long, as Gemma quickly found herself facing a challenging Bushtuker Trial that left her screaming in terror.
Speaking about her return, Gemma expressed her commitment to the competition: “There is no way I am going to be leaving after 72 hours. I am in it to win it. I am going through to the end.” She reflected on her previous experience, stating that she was not the strong, assertive woman she is today. “Last time, there were no highlights for me. But I wasn’t the strong, assertive woman I am today and I’ve got a totally different mindset.”
For Gemma, winning the series would be the ultimate pinnacle of her career. She said, “If I could get crowned the ‘Legend’, I would just feel complete in my life. Me quitting has been a shadow hanging over me. It would be my real redemption moment of my career that I had done this and nobody could take it away from me.”
Craig Charles Returns After Personal Tragedy
Craig Charles, who also faced an early exit from the show in 2014 due to the tragic death of his brother, Dean, is back for another chance. He shared how that experience changed his life: “The death of my brother, Dean, changed my life the last time I was on I’m A Celebrity… I was 50 at the time, my brother was 52, I had been in Corrie for ten years and I came in to do the jungle, then Dean passed away.”
He continued, “It made me re-evaluate things. I just thought if that had happened to me, would I be happy with what I’d achieved? I came up with the answer and it was ‘no’. I had been in Corrie for ten years and I felt in a rut.” Craig expressed his desire for new adventures after his previous experience, but he admitted to having “years of ‘What ifs?’ It’s nice to put that to bed.”
The Feud Between Gemma Collins and Sinitta
The tension between Gemma Collins and Sinitta has already reached a fever pitch before the launch of the show. Reports suggest that Gemma accused Sinitta of being a ‘rat’ in the I’m A Celebrity All Stars’ WhatsApp group, claiming she leaked stories about her. Sinitta has since hit back, denying the accusations and suggesting that the real ‘rats’ were those in the jungle.
Sinitta reportedly said, “I’ve been accused of being the rat who’s been selling the WhatsApp stories… the only rat amongst us were those in the jungle.” She added, “Gemma might be suffering a little hallucinogenically from all the, er, animal scrotums.”
A source close to Sinitta claimed she was left “dumbfounded and incredibly upset” by the accusation, which was made without proof. The source added that Sinitta approached Gemma immediately, showing her concern, while other celebrities were aware of the unspoken tension. The feud has caused fear among the wider cast, as they worry they may be next to be accused of feeding stories from the chat.
