A Colossal Cadbury Mini Egg Takes Centre Stage This Easter
Get ready for an Easter spectacle like no other, as Cadbury World has unveiled what’s being hailed as the ‘world’s largest’ Cadbury Mini Egg. This gargantuan chocolate creation tips the scales at a staggering nine stone – that’s roughly the same weight and size as a fully grown cheetah!

Fans of the beloved chocolate treat will have the chance to marvel at this enormous confection at the chocolate-themed park in Bournville, Birmingham, from the start of Easter week. The egg, a magnificent 70cm tall, is a true work of art. It’s crafted from rich milk chocolate and adorned with a vibrant, speckled, pastel pink sugar-coated shell, designed to mimic the iconic look of its much smaller counterpart. This colossal Easter delight will be on display for all to admire until Sunday, April 12th. To put its size into perspective, a standard bag of Cadbury Mini Eggs, a familiar sight in Australian households during the Easter period, weighs a mere 74 grams.
The creation of this mega-sized Mini Egg was no small feat. It took the dedicated skills of three of Cadbury World’s expert chocolatiers – Claire Fielding, Dawn Jenks, and Donna Pitt – a full two days to bring this chocolate marvel to life.
A Tradition of Tremendous Treats
This isn’t the first time Cadbury World has wowed visitors with an oversized chocolate creation. Last year, the park produced a colossal Cadbury Creme Egg, which stood an impressive 90cm tall and weighed a substantial 45kg. That egg was crafted entirely from real chocolate and was said to be approximately the height of an emperor penguin.

Claire Fielding, one of the talented chocolatiers involved in both projects, expressed her excitement about the latest creation. “After the amazing reaction to last year’s gigantic Cadbury Creme Egg, we knew we had to craft something just as fantastic for this year,” she explained. “Cadbury Mini Eggs are another absolute favourite and a British Easter staple, so creating the Mega Mini Egg felt like the perfect next challenge. We took that instantly recognisable shell and chocolate centre and scaled it up into a real showstopper.”
The chocolatiers poured their expertise and passion into replicating the distinctive look and feel of the Mini Egg on an epic scale. “It’s been so rewarding seeing it come to life, and we can’t wait for visitors to come and see it in person this Easter,” Fielding added.
More Than Just Chocolate: A Journey Through Cadbury’s Heritage

Cadbury World itself offers a deep dive into the rich history and craftsmanship behind the iconic Cadbury brand. Nestled in the original home of the Cadbury company in Bournville, the park celebrates over a century of chocolate-making innovation. Visitors can embark on a fascinating journey, learning about the intricate process of chocolate production, from the humble cocoa bean to the finished product.
The experience goes beyond just admiring giant eggs. It’s an educational and entertaining adventure for all ages, exploring the heritage and the passion that has made Cadbury a household name.

The park provides a unique opportunity to understand the artistry and dedication that goes into every piece of chocolate, whether it’s a small, everyday treat or a monumental Easter masterpiece. This year, the Mega Mini Egg serves as the crowning glory of their Easter celebrations, drawing in crowds eager to witness this extraordinary feat of confectionery. Visitors can expect a truly memorable Easter experience, filled with the magic of chocolate and the history of a beloved brand.
