A Night of Fun and Ice Cream in Philly
Hayley Williams, the lead singer of Paramore, had an unforgettable night in Philadelphia recently. With an ice cream cone in her hand, she was seen dancing with Tierra Whack inside an ice cream shop that glowed neon red on Front Street. It was a quiet Monday night in the city, but the two star singers were partying at Sweet 45 for hours.
Williams was in town for a two-night show this week at Franklin Music Hall. On Sunday night, she stopped by the ice cream shop to ask for recommendations for a night out on the town. However, as Felder mentioned, it was a Monday night in Philly, so there wasn’t much going on. “I was kind of joking, and I told her [Williams] to pull up to the shop for ice cream,” she said. “And she was like, ‘Holy $%#&, this is amazing.’”
The Paramore singer came with her crew and danced the night away with Whack, Felder, and their close friends. The party was “all ice cream, no alcohol, and people were having the time of their lives on a Monday night,” Felder said. Williams enjoyed a cone of butter pecan Puerto Rican, while local DJs Rebel Foster and Musho spun funk, rap, and R&B hits on the turntables up front.
“It just felt like a friend’s birthday party,” Felder said. “The vibes were all the way there. She [Williams] just kept saying, ‘I’m having so much fun.’”
According to a Reddit post, Williams invited Whack on stage during Monday night’s performance. The two danced on stage as Williams sang “Good Ol’ Days,” venturing out to the ice cream shop after the show.
Hayley Williams’ Recent Projects and Upcoming Shows
Williams released her third and best solo album, Ego Death at the Bachelorette Party, last year. Since then, she has been nominated for a Grammy four times and launched a new band, Power Snatch, with producer Daniel James.
She plays her second show with openers Water From Your Eyes, the New York band whose It’s a Beautiful Place was also a 2025 standout, at 8 p.m. tonight at Franklin Music Hall. This event promises to be another memorable night for fans and music lovers alike.
The Unique Vibe of Philly
Philly has always been known for its unique charm and unexpected moments. The city’s vibrant culture and friendly community make it a perfect place for artists to connect with fans and each other. The encounter between Williams and Whack at Sweet 45 is just one example of how the city can bring people together in the most unexpected ways.
Whether it’s through music, food, or just a shared moment of joy, Philly continues to be a hub of creativity and connection. The ice cream shop, with its neon lights and friendly atmosphere, became a temporary haven for the stars, proving that even on a quiet Monday night, there’s always something special happening.
