Influencer’s Face ID Fails After Too Many Cosmetic Surgeries

A Model’s Experience with Face ID and Cosmetic Procedures

An influencer recently shared a unique story about the challenges she faced after undergoing several cosmetic procedures. Debora Peixoto, a model from Rio de Janeiro, revealed how her iPhone struggled to recognize her new face following a series of treatments.

Debora had AU$2,007 worth of filler injected into her face, which included hyaluronic acid lip and cheek fillers, as well as facial harmonisation treatments. However, the results left her in a state of panic when her iPhone’s Face ID failed to recognize her.

“My face was so puffy the phone simply didn’t recognize me,” she explained. “I tried from every angle and nothing. The phone just wouldn’t recognize me. I was standing there thinking, even my iPhone doesn’t know who I am anymore.”

The swelling was more intense than she expected, and it caused her to be locked out of her phone for a short period. She described the situation as stressful and unexpected, especially since she needed to call her boyfriend to pick her up.

“I thought maybe it was a glitch, so I kept trying again and again from different angles,” she said. “At first, I was confused, then I started to panic a little because I needed to call my boyfriend to come get me.”

Debora eventually managed to unlock her phone using a passcode and was able to contact her boyfriend. When he arrived, he initially laughed at her appearance but quickly realized why the phone couldn’t recognize her.

“He couldn’t believe the phone didn’t recognize me, but when he looked at my face, he understood why,” she added. “He couldn’t believe the phone didn’t recognize me, but when he looked at my face, he understood why.”

Debora noted that her lips were extremely swollen, and her cheeks were also very puffy. She felt that everything on her face felt tight and unfamiliar. “I looked in the mirror and honestly didn’t recognize myself for a moment,” she admitted.

It took three days before the swelling subsided enough for her Face ID to recognize her again. During this time, she had to rely on her passcode for all her phone functions.

“I had to use my passcode for everything. It only started recognizing me again once the swelling went down and my face went back closer to normal,” she said.

Despite the mishap, Debora doesn’t regret her decision. She emphasized that while her focus is always on the final result, she acknowledges the importance of the healing process.

“We always think about the final result, but not about the process. The first few days can be quite extreme,” she said. “I never thought something as simple as unlocking my phone would turn into a problem, but it really did.”

In the end, she can laugh about the situation, but she admits that it was stressful at the time. Her experience highlights the unexpected challenges that can arise from cosmetic procedures, even in everyday technology interactions.
