From Reality TV Romance to Queensland Dreams: MAFS Couple Clint and Jacqui Set to Tie the Knot
The journey from televised matchmaking to lifelong commitment is a remarkable one, and for Married At First Sight (MAFS) season 12 success story Clint Rice and Jacqui Burfoot, their next chapter is rapidly unfolding. With their wedding on the horizon, the couple, who found love after their initial on-screen pairings didn’t pan out, are gearing up for a significant move and a shared future.
Their engagement, announced in April 2025, marked a pivotal moment, and now, they are looking to the sunshine state for their new beginnings. While Jacqui had settled into Clint’s impressive Tasmanian residence, the property is now officially on the market. This move signifies a clear intention to embrace a fresh start in Queensland, a location that has captured their aspirations.
Clint, a professional golfer and astute businessman, has put his meticulously renovated, resort-style home near Launceston up for sale. This three-bedroom, two-bathroom property, a testament to Clint’s vision and hard work, is listed with a price guide of $2.95 million to $3.2 million. He dedicated a substantial 18 months to the renovation, completing the extensive upgrades in 2024. The result is a home that caters to both leisure and luxury, boasting an impressive array of amenities.
A Golfer’s Paradise and a Sanctuary of Serenity
The listing highlights features that would make any golf enthusiast’s heart sing. A private five-hole putting green allows for practice at any hour, complemented by an indoor golf simulator for those days when the weather isn’t cooperating. For the more active pursuits, a full-size tennis court stands ready, alongside a dedicated gym.
Clint himself expressed immense pride in the renovation. “It’s a great house,” he stated, emphasizing the depth of thought and collaboration that went into its creation. “We thought about everything. There were months of going back and forth with the designer to actually get it right, and we did get it really right.”
When asked about his favourite aspect of the home, Clint pointed to the master suite, describing it as a personal “sanctuary.” He elaborated on the design, “My favourite part of the house is the en suite. The king-size master bedroom flows into the walk-in dressing room, which then leads to the actual en suite with a walk-in shower and skylights. I love that part of the house. It’s kind of like a sanctuary.” This attention to detail in creating a private retreat speaks volumes about his desire for comfort and tranquility.
Whirlwind Romance and Ambitious Future Plans
The couple’s journey has been a whirlwind since they opened up about their romance to Woman’s Day last April. Their surprise engagement quickly led to fervent wedding planning. They revealed their intentions to exchange vows this past summer, with the possibility of multiple ceremonies to accommodate loved ones. Plans were afoot for celebrations in Tasmania, Jacqui’s native Queenstown, New Zealand, and even a potential destination wedding in the South of France, showcasing their adventurous spirit and desire to share their special moments with family and friends across the globe.
Beyond the wedding bells, a “big family” is also on the horizon, though not immediately. Jewellery designer Jacqui shared her strategic approach to family planning with Mamamia last October. Her immediate focus is on building her business empire.
“I want a successful career: the most exciting thing for me is building a business together,” she explained. “It’s always been a dream of mine to build a multimillion-dollar company. Clint is very good at business – he has already successfully exited a seven-figure golf business. Together, we are aiming higher.” This shared ambition and entrepreneurial spirit are clearly a driving force in their relationship, setting the stage for a future built on mutual success and shared dreams. Their move to Queensland signifies not just a change of scenery, but a bold step towards building that ambitious future together.
