panellist has been busy filming Jane McDonald in Nashville, which will see the Yorkshire native journey across the pond to discover the gems of America’s country music heartland.

With the premiere just around the corner, Jane turned to Instagram to share her excitement with her fans. She shared a video on the platform featuring herself sporting a country hat, set to Shania Twain’s Man! I Feel Like A Woman!

“Well… let’s go girls,” she captioned the post.

“My Nashville adventure is nearly here! Jane McDonald in Nashville starts 9th April at 9pm on @channel5_tv. I can’t wait for you to see it.”

Dubbing Jane a “country queen”, Channel 5 also mentioned the programme, sharing a collection of photographs of the singer in the US on Instagram.

Fans were delighted by the announcement, with one commenting on Instagram: “Yesssss! Cant wait for this!” Another enthused: “This is going to be EPIC.”

“I’d run through a wall for Jane,” confessed one admirer, while another remarked: “Looking forward to watching this.”

The Cruising with Jane McDonald presenter revealed her Nashville project last year, sharing on her website that she was “so excited” about the travel special.

“Jane McDonald’s Nashville is a two-part series where I’ll be exploring the sights, sounds and stories that make the home of country music such a magical place,” she told fans.

“From the legendary Bluebird Café to the Grand Ole Opry, I’ll be soaking up the Southern charm, incredible music and a good dose of country soul. I’ll also be putting together my own ‘Must-See, Must-Do’ list – from the Jack Daniel’s Distillery and the Parthenon replica to historic homes and even one of Nashville’s famous Pedal Tavern tours (wish me luck on that one!).”

“There’s so much history, passion and talent here,” Jane added, describing the adventure as “truly a dream come true”.
