The Canadian comedian revealed that she had a facelift, a procedure that came with a substantial price tag of £16,000. She showcased the results of this extensive surgery during a public outing, drawing attention to her refreshed appearance.
Remarkably, this invasive procedure took place just eight weeks after she gave birth to her fourth child, Holland, in October. While she had previously hinted at undergoing cosmetic work, Ryan only recently divulged the specifics of the surgery on her podcast, “Telling Everybody Everything.”
The Details of the Facelift
Ryan elaborated on the nature of the surgery, explaining, “The surgery was a facelift. Yes, a full facelift – a little bit of fat transfer to my cheekbone area, and a small blepharoplasty.” She further clarified the blepharoplasty component, describing it as a procedure where “they take a tiny bit of your eyelid skin… and then they’ll usually – to avoid hollowness, put a little bit of fat back in there too.” Consequently, she had fat transferred to her “upper face, my eyelids, and then I had a facelift.”

The decision to undergo such a significant procedure, especially so soon after childbirth, was deeply personal for Ryan. She revealed that the surgery was as much an emotional milestone as it was a physical one. “Almost metaphorically I needed to do something, to reclaim my identity, to reclaim my autonomy, to claw back the face that I had in, like, 2019,” she confessed. This statement underscores the powerful emotional impetus behind her decision, framing the surgery not merely as a cosmetic enhancement, but as a significant act of self-restoration and a reclaiming of her personal narrative after a period of intense physical and emotional challenges.
