Laguna Beach Stars: Ageless at ‘The Reunion’ Premiere

Laguna Beach Cast Reunites, Proving Grown-Up Glow-Ups are Real

The iconic cast of MTV’s reality hit Laguna Beach stepped back into the spotlight this week, gracing the red carpet in Santa Monica, California, for the premiere of The Reunion: Laguna Beach. The special, set to air on The Roku Channel on Friday, April 10, brought together the faces that defined a generation of teen drama.

At the heart of the reunion were the show’s central trio and producers: Lauren Conrad, Stephen Colletti, and Kristin Cavallari. While their on-screen history was famously fraught with a love triangle – Conrad seemingly harbouring feelings for her best friend while he was dating Cavallari – the years have clearly smoothed over any high school-era drama. The trio exuded warmth and camaraderie as they posed for photos, a far cry from their teenage skirmishes.

Colletti, known for his role in One Tree Hill, looked dapper in a classic white collared shirt paired with sharp black slacks. Conrad opted for an elegant, long white strapless dress, radiating sophistication. Cavallari, ever the style icon, brought back her signature chocker necklace, perfectly complementing her white strapless minidress.

From Petty Feuds to Mature Perspectives

Conrad, now 40, openly shared her positive feelings about the current dynamic with Cavallari. “It feels great,” she admitted, reflecting on the cast’s evolution. “It was part of what we wanted to show is that we’ve all grown, we’re all adults, a lot of us are parents. And I think that as you get older, you’re not worried about the small stuff.”

Cavallari, 39, echoed this sentiment, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to revisit their shared past from a mature vantage point. “I’m thankful that we had the opportunity to even do that,” she stated. “And it’s been, obviously for us we haven’t had any beefs for the last however many years. We’re adults. We’ve all moved past it, but I think it’s nice and to show everybody that we’ve moved past it is going to be really therapeutic in a lot of ways.”

A Wave of New Beginnings and Familiar Faces

The premiere also saw other beloved Laguna Beach stars making an appearance. Alex Weaver, wife of The Traitors alum, proudly showcased her baby bump. The couple announced their pregnancy via Instagram on March 30, adding another layer of excitement to the reunion. They tied the knot in October 2025.

Beyond the main trio, a host of other familiar faces from Laguna Beach were present, including Jessica Smith Evans, Talan Torriero, Alex Hoosier, Trey Phillips, Dieter Schmitz, and Morgan Smith.

A striking visual theme emerged from the event, with attendees largely adhering to a black-and-white colour palette. This sartorial choice may well have been a nod to the “black-and-white parties” that were a staple of their high school days, adding a nostalgic touch to the modern-day gathering.

Reflecting on a Legacy

The official description for the two-hour reunion special promises an in-depth look back: “Featuring behind-the-scenes stories, cast reactions to iconic episodes and a return to Laguna Beach, they reflect on the friendships, love triangles and drama that changed their lives.” The special also includes insights from several producers who were instrumental in shaping the hit MTV series.

Laguna Beach originally aired for three seasons between 2004 and 2006, leaving an indelible mark on reality television and famously spawning the hugely popular spinoff, The Hills. This reunion offers a chance for fans to reconnect with the cast and witness their journey from teenage drama to adult reflection.
