MAFS 2026: Who’s Still Together and Who’s Called It Quits?
The drama is back, and so are the couples on Married At First Sight 2026. As the experts work their matchmaking magic, the big question on everyone’s lips is: which of these newly-wed pairs will be this year’s success stories, and which ones will be heading for the exit faster than you can say “vow renewal”? We’ve been doing some digging, and it appears some relationships might be on the rocks before they’ve even had a chance to properly get off the ground.
Let’s take a look at how the couples are faring.
Brook and Chris: A Surprise Turnaround?
Model Brook found herself partnered with Chris, a self-confessed MAFS sceptic. His pre-wedding pronouncements about dealbreakers, including an “overweight” wife, and his public displays of annoyance when his bride wouldn’t immediately kiss him, certainly set the stage for fireworks. It seemed like a recipe for disaster from the get-go.
However, in a twist that has surprised many, Brook, 27, appears to be thriving post-show. She’s not only engaged but also expecting a baby with her former flame, 28-year-old builder Harry. Brook exclusively revealed the happy news, stating, “I had a dream that I was pregnant. I woke up and thought, ‘That was crazy,’ but I did a pregnancy test… and it was positive!”
Reports suggest Brook reconnected with Harry just two weeks after leaving the MAFS experiment. During the casting process, she had openly admitted to the experts that she had only recently ended a previous relationship before signing up. The Maldives getaway with Harry and his friends seems to have been a pivotal moment, with Brook describing it as a beautiful experience that solidified their rekindled connection. “We were better than we had ever been,” she shared.

Alissa and David: Making It Work Despite Early Hurdles
The initial stages of Alissa and David’s journey were far from smooth sailing. Alissa’s demand for David to get down on one knee and propose before she’d agree to marry him certainly raised eyebrows. Despite navigating a rather graphic first kiss and an unfortunate injury during their honeymoon, Alissa and David seem to be going from strength to strength.
Photographic evidence emerged in August 2025, with reports from the Daily Mail capturing the couple holding hands while filming in Sydney. This sighting suggests they might have successfully navigated the entire experiment, a promising sign for their long-term prospects.

Rachel and Steven: Early Exit Suspicions
Arguably one of the most visually appealing couples of MAFS 2026, Rachel and Steven exchanged vows aboard a picturesque boat in Sydney Harbour. However, despite their charming wedding, whispers suggest their romance might have already run aground. While they still follow each other on Instagram – a positive indicator – their honeymoon was marked by tearful moments, hinting at underlying tensions.
Podcaster Josh Fox, host of the MAFS Funny podcast, shared his observations from the filming period. While witnessing other couples engaging in everyday activities around Sydney, he noted the conspicuous absence of Rachel and Steven. “I saw the couples all one by one, going to Woolies, going to the beach, going to whatever. And did I see these two once? Nah, literally, not at all,” he revealed. Based on this lack of visibility, Fox is “fairly sure they are one of, if not the first couple to leave.”

Mel and Luke: A Rocky Start and Fading Hopes
Mel and Luke’s wedding day was plagued by a less-than-ideal start, with the groom arriving late and, crucially, forgetting the rings. Tensions were palpable between Mel, who describes herself as a “pink girl,” and her farmer husband. Since then, there’s been little indication of sparks flying between them, leading to doubts about a fairytale ending.
Mel’s own comments to TV WEEK further suggest the relationship is over. Reflecting on her wedding day, she confessed, “I remember when we were leaving the wedding, I just waved bye to them all and felt sad. Is this really a person that I’m meant to be with? It started off on the wrong foot from the get-go.” Her candid admissions about past behaviours, including her tendency to “stalk her exes,” don’t exactly bode well for her connection with Luke.

Gia and Scott: Allegations of a Calculated Move
Gia, known for her feisty personality on the show, might have found a genuine connection with her partner Scott. Their on-screen chemistry was evident from their beach meeting, and while they took things slow on their honeymoon, their bond appeared to be growing.
However, an insider speaking to Chattr has cast a shadow over their burgeoning romance, alleging that Scott may have been using Gia for increased airtime for his business. “He only talks to one person from the show now, and at the last Dinner Party, he said he was too good for everyone and that they’re beneath him,” the source revealed. The insider also claims Scott told Gia on camera that she “wasn’t his calibre.” This raises the possibility that Gia’s impressive track record of never being dumped might be about to face its biggest test.

Bec and Danny: A Disappointing Lack of Chemistry
Following an initial period of awkwardness on their wedding day, Bec and Danny were initially considered a pair to keep an eye on. Unfortunately, their connection seems to have fizzled out. Danny has admitted to a lack of chemistry, even after an intimate night together. Adding to his apparent disinterest, he was reportedly caught checking out another woman during the honeymoon.
Despite Danny’s apparent disengagement, it seems the couple will remain on the show for a while longer. Reports indicate that Bec and fellow participant Gia will be at the centre of significant drama at upcoming dinner parties, promising plenty of fireworks.

Rebecca and Steve: A Potential Success Story?
As the oldest couple in the MAFS 2026 experiment, Rebecca and Steve surprised many with their vibrant energy on their wedding day. Fast forward to the present, and it appears they are successfully navigating their relationship in the real world.
In November of last year, Rebecca shared a series of “Life lately” photos, one of which featured a man serving dinner, his face obscured. Shortly after, she posted a picture of a meal with the caption, “Can cook.” This led MAFS co-star Gia to comment, “She’s a wife,” hinting that Steve might indeed be “The One.” While Rebecca and Steve’s son, Austin, do not follow each other on social media, this could be a strategic move to prevent spoilers from leaking prematurely.

Julia and Grayson: Promising Signs for This Unique Pairing
The MAFS experiment saw a first with bisexual bride Julia, who was unsure whether she would be partnered with a man or a woman. However, her match, Grayson, whose friend Johnny found love on the show in 2021, appears to be a fantastic fit for her.
Judging by some heartfelt comments Grayson made to the Daily Mail, their relationship shows real promise. “From the get-go, we clicked,” he stated. “Nothing was orchestrated. Our families and friends just gravitated towards each other. It was a really good start.” These positive sentiments suggest that Julia and Grayson could be one of the couples who go the distance.

Stella and Filip: Keeping Our Fingers Crossed
Sparks were undeniably flying at Stella and Filip’s wedding as they locked eyes. Despite some initial concerns from Stella’s friends about Filip’s intentions and whether he was solely on the show to boost his YouTube channel, the couple seems to have gone from strength to strength.
A significant indicator that Stella and Filip might have made their relationship official in the real world is the social media behaviour of Stella’s friend, Leila. Initially hesitant about Filip, Leila now follows him on social media, and he reciprocates the follow. This subtle shift suggests a growing acceptance and approval of their union.
