MAFS Star Brook Crompton Reveals Pregnancy Due Date and Rekindled Romance
Married At First Sight contestant Brook Crompton has lifted the lid on her surprising pregnancy and rekindled relationship with her ex-fiancé, Harry. The 27-year-old Queensland model, who appeared on the show last year, revealed to the Happy Hour with Lucy & Nikki podcast that she is expecting her baby in July, placing her at approximately five months pregnant.
The timing of the pregnancy has raised eyebrows, particularly given the show’s filming schedule. Married At First Sight concluded filming in October, suggesting Brook conceived her child with Harry around that time. However, Brook clarified that her on-screen commitments wrapped up in July, the same month she reconciled with Harry.
Brook described the split from her ex as amicable, stating, “It wasn’t like we had a super toxic breakup. He didn’t cheat or anything like that.” She explained that the relationship had simply run its course due to difficult timing and his demanding work schedule.
Following her departure from the show in July, Brook received an unexpected invitation from Harry. “He was like, ‘I’m going to the Maldives with some family friends on a surf trip, do you want to come?'” Brook recounted. “And I was like, ‘F***ing oath I want to go to the Maldives…'” This trip proved to be a pivotal moment, leading to their reunion. “One thing led to another, and it rekindled, and we got back together, and yeah, Bob’s your uncle,” she added.
While the pregnancy wasn’t planned for this early stage, Brook and Harry have embraced the news. “We were not planning to be pregnant this early on, but I think things kind of just fell into place,” she said. “And I mean, one plus one equals two, right?”
On Married At First Sight, Brook was paired with groom Chris Nield. However, their on-screen romance proved short-lived, dissolving just weeks into the experiment. Speculation about Brook’s pregnancy had circulated during filming, but based on the timeline provided, it’s not possible for her to have been expecting during the initial stages of the show.
Fellow MAFS contestant Luke Fourniotis had previously suggested there were subtle indicators that Brook might have been pregnant while filming. Speaking on 2Day Breakfast with Nathan Roye & Emma Chow, Luke admitted he had “no idea” at the time but, in hindsight, noticed some clues. “It wasn’t that long between the end of filming and now,” he commented, referencing the considerable size of Brook’s baby bump.
Luke also recalled Brook frequently excusing herself from set, citing feelings of unwellness. He theorised that these instances could have been morning sickness, though he playfully added that he was “having a joke.”
The story of Brook’s relationship with Harry and her visible pregnancy first gained significant public attention when Daily Mail published footage of the couple decorating a Christmas tree together in October. This sighting occurred mere weeks after Brook’s on-screen marriage to Chris had reportedly ended off-camera. Subsequently, she was photographed in Brisbane, appearing visibly pregnant.
The revelation from Brook herself offers a clearer picture of the timeline and the unexpected turn of events that led to her current situation, highlighting the often unpredictable nature of life both on and off the reality television stage.
