Moto Pizza Enters Seattle’s Pioneer Square

Moto Pizza has unveiled a new branch in Seattle’s Pioneer Square, marking another step in its growing presence within the city’s pizza culture. This latest opening highlights the brand’s commitment to expanding its influence while maintaining the unique qualities that have made it popular among locals.

Kindell emphasized his dedication to maintaining high standards as the company grows. To ensure consistency across all locations, he has established a commissary kitchen in Renton where dough for every Moto store is prepared.

Kindell recently showcased his talent at the International Pizza Challenge in Las Vegas, where he won first place in the Detroit-style pan pizza category. He also secured second place in the overall pan pizza division, proving his expertise in the craft.

What to Expect

Unlike many other pizzerias, Moto Pizza does not allow customers to build their own pizzas with custom toppings. Instead, Kindell curates specific flavor combinations based on extensive experimentation. For example, the Mr. Pig pizza features lechon kawali (Filipino pork belly) paired with mango-pineapple chimichurri and banana ketchup, reflecting his Filipino heritage.

“I don’t do that because I really want to curate the experience,” Kindell explained. “There are a hundred places you can go where you can ask for what you want on a pizza.”

Kindell has ambitious plans for the future, aiming to have more than a dozen Moto locations open by the end of the year. This growth strategy underscores the brand’s confidence in its concept and its ability to connect with customers.
