Luke, with a characteristic chuckle, readily admits that his initial appearance might not have been his most polished. “I [was wearing] camo gym shorts from Walmart, classy stuff, and the oldest T-shirt that I owned [that had holes in],” he shared during the interview.

A Chaotic Kitchen Proposal

Adding to the pressure, their house move ran significantly behind schedule, meaning it was close to 11 pm before they were finally settled in their new home. Compounding the situation further, Luke had already informed Nicole’s parents of his proposal plans, as they were due to fly into Nashville the very next day.

For their first dance as a married couple, they chose Luke’s own heartfelt ballad, “Beautiful Crazy,” a song he had written about Nicole during their dating days. Luke later revealed to reporters at the ACM Awards that they had briefly debated whether using such a personal song for their first dance might be perceived as “corny,” but ultimately decided to embrace the sentiment.
Expanding Their Family: Three Boys and Counting
The past few years have been a whirlwind of joy and new beginnings for Luke and Nicole as they’ve welcomed three sons into their family. Their eldest, Tex Lawrence, was born in June 2022. Their second son, Beau Lee, arrived in August 2023.
