NRLW Star Millie Elliott’s Bizarre Wart Remedy Revealed
In a candid revelation that’s sure to raise a few eyebrows, National Rugby League Women’s (NRLW) star Millie Elliott has shared a truly astonishing tale about a home remedy she once employed to tackle a stubborn wart. The representative prop, who welcomed her daughter Gigi last September, recounted the rather unappealing experience during a chat on Triple M’s The Rush Hour.
Elliott, known for her formidable presence on the field, admitted the story was “really gross” as she explained the peculiar situation to co-hosts Nathan Hindmarsh and Anthony Maroon. The bizarre saga began when her brother, who had apparently found success with a similar ailment, suggested a rather unconventional treatment.
“My brother weed on one of his warts and it went away,” Elliott revealed. He then advised her to try the same when she developed a wart on her finger. However, her initial attempt proved unsuccessful. Undeterred, her brother proposed an even more direct approach. “So he said, ‘Maybe it’s gotta be my wee’ … so he peed in a cup, and I poured it onto my wart,” she explained, detailing how the unconventional treatment ultimately failed to clear the persistent skin blemish.

This surprising anecdote sheds light on the personal side of the accomplished athlete. Elliott has enjoyed a decorated career in the NRLW, securing premierships with some of the competition’s most successful clubs: the Brisbane Broncos (twice), Newcastle Knights, and Sydney Roosters.
Beyond her on-field achievements, Elliott’s personal life has also seen significant developments. She married South Sydney Rabbitohs recruit Adam Elliott in 2023. Adam Elliott has publicly spoken about the profound impact Millie has had on his life. He previously described her as the “biggest influence” on his personal happiness, particularly her role in embracing his family and helping to raise his son from a previous relationship. “How much she’s bought into my family, and helping to raise my little boy, it means the world to me,” he shared, admitting that he often doesn’t give her enough credit for her contributions. He went on to describe her as a “very special person” whose actions consistently evoke emotion from him.

Looking ahead, Millie Elliott is anticipated to make a strong return to the field for the Sydney Roosters in the upcoming NRLW season, which is slated to commence in July. The club’s ability to manage their salary cap effectively, allowing them to accommodate Elliott’s return for the 2025 campaign, has been a source of delight for chairman Nick Politis.
Politis expressed his satisfaction with the league’s framework, which supports female athletes in balancing family life with their sporting careers. “It is a wonderful thing that rugby league has a structure in place where female athletes can start a family, take the time off, but then return when they are ready to play out their contracts,” he stated. “We are very happy for Millie and Adam.”

This sentiment underscores a growing recognition and support for women in professional sport, enabling them to pursue both personal milestones and elite athletic careers. Elliott’s resilience and determination, both on and off the field, continue to inspire many, even when accompanied by the occasional, albeit unusual, anecdote. Her journey highlights the dedication required at the highest level of sport and the unique challenges and triumphs that come with it. The NRLW’s commitment to supporting players like Elliott through significant life events is a positive step forward for the sport.
