Olivia Attwood’s “Marriage” to Bradley Dack Never Legally Formalised Amid Trust Issues
It has emerged that reality television star and ITV presenter Olivia Attwood, 34, was never legally married to footballer Bradley Dack, 32, despite a lavish ceremony and public pronouncements. The couple, who had a high-profile on-again, off-again relationship spanning a decade, reportedly split for good earlier this year. While initial reports alluded to a “breach of trust” from Dack as the cause of their separation, new details have surfaced, shedding light on why their union was never officially registered.
The pair held a spectacular wedding ceremony in June 2023 at the prestigious five-star Bulgari Hotel in Knightsbridge, London. Attwood, known for her appearances on Love Island and her own reality series, stunned in a reported £30,000 Galia Lahav gown. The venue was adorned with an extravagant 25,000 flowers, creating a fairytale setting for their special day. This event, along with the lead-up, was extensively documented for Attwood’s 17-part series, Olivia Meets Her Match, which followed her life as a “Wag” after relocating to Manchester.

Cameras were present to capture the moment Attwood nervously signed what appeared to be the marriage register, with her parents looking on proudly. However, an investigation by the Mail on Sunday revealed that there is no official record of the marriage. A search of the City of Westminster Archives Centre yielded “no trace of Olivia Jade Attwood and Bradley Paul Dack anywhere in 2023 or 2022.”
The Ceremony and Its Legal Standing
The individuals who acted as witnesses to the signing were Dack’s best friend, Ronnie Vint, and Attwood’s younger brother, Max. Crucially, the document they signed was reportedly blank, and their union was not subsequently logged with the General Register Office, the official body responsible for recording all marriages and civil partnerships in England and Wales.
This revelation has led to speculation about the financial motivations behind the event, given the considerable investment ITV is understood to have made in Attwood’s reality show. While some sources suggest this news will be “very disappointing” for her fans, who believed the marriage was genuine, insiders close to Attwood have offered a different perspective.
Uncovered Untruths and Broken Trust
According to a source close to Attwood, she “uncovered a number of mistruths” that prevented her from finalising the legal aspects of their marriage. This insider explained that the Bulgari Hotel, where the ceremony took place, did not possess a wedding licence. Despite the efforts of the wedding planner, a licence could not be secured in time. Consequently, an appointment was made for six weeks after the ceremony at a registry office near their home in Cheshire to complete the necessary paperwork.
However, during these intervening weeks, Attwood reportedly discovered further “mistruths,” which led her to halt the legal proceedings. While her decade-long relationship with Dack was described as genuine and filled with love, Attwood’s “inability to trust Bradley forced her hand in not being able to legally bind their union.” The source added that “every attempt was made to contractually bind the ceremony on the day itself; alternatively, an appointment was made to sign paperwork in the weeks after. Unfortunately, circumstances put a stall on them progressing with the formalities that were meant to follow.”
Lasting Tributes and Shifting Dynamics
Despite the lack of legal finalisation, the former couple did make a symbolic and permanent commitment to one another on what was meant to be their wedding day. Attwood got the tattoo “Till death” inked on her arm, while Dack had “Do us part” etched onto his wrist.

Representatives for Bradley Dack have declined to comment on these revelations. This news comes in the wake of multiple women coming forward with claims of Dack’s infidelity, alleging that he was unfaithful to Attwood while she was working abroad. Reports suggest that Attwood was unable to reach him by phone during these alleged incidents.
The tumultuous nature of Olivia and Bradley’s relationship has been a recurring theme throughout Attwood’s public life. Upon her Love Island debut in 2017, she revealed that she had applied for the dating show as a form of revenge after Dack had cheated on her for the first time. After a period with fellow contestant Chris Hughes, whom she split from in 2018, Attwood rekindled her relationship with Dack, and they remained together until their recent separation.

In recent weeks, Olivia Attwood has made headlines for her apparent new romance with her close friend and Kiss FM radio presenter, Pete Wicks. The pair were photographed kissing passionately during a night out in Soho, seemingly confirming speculation about a relationship beyond friendship. Sources have indicated that Dack felt “embarrassed and upset” by the images, leading him to unfollow Attwood on social media. In line with these developments, Attwood has also removed “Dack” from her surname online, now going by Olivia Attwood.
