Osbourne Family’s 10 Bids to Reclaim Reality Show Mansion

A Home Full of Memories

Kelly Osbourne has shared some heartfelt stories about her family’s past, particularly their iconic home in California. The house, which was the setting for the MTV reality show The Osbournes, holds a special place in her heart. She revealed that her family has made ten attempts to buy back the property, but the current owners have consistently refused.

The home, located in Beverly Hills’ prestigious Hancock Park neighborhood, was where the Osbournes lived from 2002 to 2005. It was also the backdrop for their hit TV series, which showcased their daily lives and became a cultural phenomenon. Kelly described the house as “one of the best places we ever lived,” emphasizing how it changed her life and brought many joyful memories.

The family sold the house to popstar Christina Aguilera in 2007, who lived there for four years before putting it back on the market in 2011. Despite multiple offers, the current owners have not agreed to sell it back to the Osbournes, even though they rarely visit the property.

A Legacy in the UK

Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary frontman of Black Sabbath, had always dreamed of returning to England. He passed away in July last year at the age of 76, just two weeks after his farewell concert in Birmingham. His final resting place is in the private grounds of the family’s UK home, Welders House, a Grade II listed building purchased by Ozzy and Sharon in 1993.

The family moved to the UK in 2023, but the US property in Hancock Park, LA, was put up for sale with an asking price of $18 million. The house had been their home for twenty years before they relocated.

Sharon and Ozzy had planned to return to the UK in 2024 for a ten-part reality series called Home To Roost, documenting their return. However, due to Ozzy’s declining health, they returned earlier last summer, just in time for his final Black Sabbath reunion concert at Aston Villa’s Villa Park stadium in Birmingham.

Renovations for Comfort and Privacy

To ensure Ozzy’s comfort during his final months, Sharon invested heavily in renovations at their UK home. She planned a ‘rehabilitation wing’ to help him regain mobility, along with an extension for a nurse’s flat to provide round-the-clock care. The upgrades also included a ‘health and welfare exercise studio’, an ‘art studio room’, and a ‘pool house orangery’ complete with a spa, wet room, and changing area.

A 2.4m high fence was installed to maintain privacy, and the CCTV system was upgraded to monitor the grounds more effectively.

A New Chapter for Sharon

Recently, it was reported that Sharon has decided to split her time between the UK and Los Angeles. While Ozzy is buried in Buckinghamshire, the couple’s three children—Aimee, Jack, and Kelly—and their five grandchildren have returned to their homes in LA.

After spending the Christmas holidays in LA with her children, Sharon has now decided to divide her time evenly between her UK home and a new apartment in Los Angeles. According to The Sun, she plans to spend “half the year at least” on the West Coast, with expectations that the move could become permanent within a couple of years.

Sharon, 72, is also a doting grandmother to Jack’s daughters—Pearl, Andy Rose, Minnie Theodora, and Maple Artemis—as well as Kelly’s son, Sidney. She misses being part of their daily lives, according to insiders.

A New Phase in Kelly’s Life

Kelly has recently gone through a tough time, including the end of her engagement to Sid Wilson. The couple, who met when Slipknot toured with Ozzfest, had been together for several years. They welcomed their son, Sid, in 2022, and the family lived on a farm in Iowa.

However, the engagement ended quietly seven months after Sid proposed to Kelly at her late father’s final concert with Black Sabbath in Birmingham. Insiders said that Kelly has been struggling with the loss of her father and the challenges in their relationship.

Despite the difficulties, Kelly remains focused on being the best mother she can be. She has stayed sober and is now prioritizing her personal growth and her role as a parent. She was last seen with Sid at the Grammy Awards in February, and since then, she has only appeared publicly with friends or her mother, Sharon.
