GREENVILLE, N.C. – A local dance school in Greenville is offering an opportunity for children to experience the joy of dance through free classes next weekend. The event, titled “Power of Dance Community Dance Day,” is organized by the Greenville Civic Ballet’s Dance Collective and will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 18.
This community event is designed for kids aged 3 to 12, regardless of their skill level. Participants can enjoy a variety of dance classes that cater to different interests and abilities. In addition to the dance sessions, there will be a children’s ballet performance, providing a chance for young dancers to showcase their talents.
After the dance classes, attendees will have the opportunity to watch a free performance of the classic ballet “Peter and the Wolf.” This beloved story, which features a cast of characters represented by different instruments in an orchestra, is a wonderful way to introduce children to the world of classical music and ballet.
The event aims to promote inclusivity and accessibility in the arts. By offering free classes and performances, the Greenville Civic Ballet is making it possible for families from all backgrounds to participate in the cultural and artistic activities that enrich the community.
