Currently, the answer is no. Saturday Night Live is taking a brief hiatus this week. However, viewers won’t have to wait long for its return. The show is scheduled to resume with new episodes next week, on February 28th. This temporary break is due to programming being preempted by the Winter Olympics, a common practice for broadcasters like NBC.
What’s Coming Up: Hosts and Musical Guests Revealed
When Saturday Night Live returns at the end of February, audiences can look forward to a fresh lineup of talent. The show will feature Heated Rivalry star Connor Storrie making his highly anticipated SNL hosting debut. Providing the musical entertainment will be the acclaimed band Mumford & Sons.
Looking further ahead, it’s been confirmed that acclaimed actor Ryan Gosling will take the hosting stage on March 7th. Joining him as the musical guest will be the innovative virtual band Gorillaz, promising an exciting episode for fans.
A Look Back at Season 51: A Star-Studded Lineup So Far
The 51st season of Saturday Night Live has already showcased an impressive array of hosts and musical performers since its October premiere. The season kicked off with the dynamic duo of host Bad Bunny and musical guest Doja Cat.
Following this, the beloved Amy Poehler returned to grace the SNL stage as host. The musical performance that night was by Role Model, who was joined by a surprise cameo from Charli XCX during their performance of “Sally, When The Wine Runs Out.”
The season then saw a unique double-header with Sabrina Carpenter both hosting and performing. In November, Miles Teller hosted, with Brandi Carlile providing the musical numbers. This was followed by Nikki Glaser hosting alongside musical guest Sombr.
Glen Powell then took the hosting reins, with Olivia Dean delivering two of her songs. On December 6th, Melissa McCarthy hosted, and the artist Dijon performed.
The British talent shone through when actor Josh O’Connor hosted, with Lily Allen as the musical guest. Allen performed songs from her new album, “West End Girl.”
The final episode before the Christmas break featured Wicked: For Good star Ariana Grande as host. Music icon Cher took to the stage as the musical guest, and this episode also marked cast member Bowen Yang’s final appearance on the show.
To kick off 2026, Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard made his hosting debut, accompanied by a performance from A$AP Rocky. This was followed by Teyana Taylor hosting with the band Geese performing.

The most recent episode, which aired on January 31st, saw actor Alexander Skarsgård hosting for the first time. Rapper Cardi B delivered a powerful performance, featuring “Bodega Baddie” and “ErrTime” from her album “Am I the Drama?”.
