Tori Spelling and six kids hospitalized after car crash

Actress Tori Spelling and Family Hospitalized After Car Crash

Actress Tori Spelling, 52, and seven of her children were recently hospitalized after a car crash that involved four of her children and three of their friends. The incident occurred on Thursday, April 2, in Temecula, California, when the vehicle she was driving collided with another car. According to reports, the other driver was allegedly speeding and ran through a red light.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the incident on April 4, stating that deputies arrived at the scene at 5:45pm local time. Two vehicles were found with collision damage. Following the accident, all those involved were evaluated by medical professionals. No arrests were made, as per the outlet TMZ, which first reported the news.

Spelling and the seven children were transported to the hospital in three separate ambulances. They were treated for various injuries, including cuts, bruises, contusions, and concussions. As of now, Spelling has not publicly commented on the accident.

A Family in the Spotlight

Tori Spelling is known for her role in the popular television series 90210. She shares five children with her ex-husband, actor Dean McDermott: Liam, 19, Stella, 17, Hattie, 14, Finn, 13, and Beau, nine. The couple recently finalized their divorce, which Spelling described as “the easiest divorce in Hollywood.”

The divorce process began in 2023, with Spelling citing McDermott’s reported “lack of sobriety” as one of the reasons for the breakdown of their 18-year marriage. Five months ago, she officially announced the end of their relationship on her podcast misSPELLING, addressing the media attention surrounding the split and confirming that the process had concluded.

In a clip from the podcast, Spelling said, “I am officially divorced. Wow, there. I said it out loud.” Reflecting on the divorce process on the November 10 episode, she revealed that while it had been “quite a journey,” it had also been completely drama-free.

Smooth Sailing Through Divorce

Spelling admitted that despite their challenges throughout their marriage, the divorce was smooth sailing. She emphasized that their joint priority was being there for the “five children we chose to create out of love” during this process.

The couple decided to keep the divorce out of court, opting instead for mediation to achieve a “drama-free” outcome. They met while working on the TV movie Mind Over Murder in 2005, while both were married to other people. Spelling has previously admitted that they began an affair “on the first night they met,” before filing for divorce from their respective partners soon after.

Before marrying McDermott, Spelling was married to actor Charlie Shanian, while McDermott was married to actress Mary Jo Eustace. Their relationship began as an affair but eventually led to their marriage.
