Triumph Gold Project: Dart Unearths High-Grade Gold and Silver, Expanding Exploration Horizons
Dart Mining is generating significant buzz around its Triumph Gold Project in Queensland, with a wave of new rock chip sampling results revealing exceptional grades of gold and silver. These discoveries are not only bolstering confidence in existing targets but also pinpointing promising new areas for exploration, extending the potential beyond the current resource footprint.
The company’s latest sampling efforts have concentrated on the Northern Corridor and areas surrounding the historic Norton Mine, zones identified as prime locations for uncovering new growth opportunities. Dart has highlighted that these encouraging results underscore the substantial, yet underexplored, potential present at prospects such as Spotted Gum, Advance, Chandlers, and Sailor Boy.
Exceptional Rock Chip Results Fueling Excitement
The newly released assay results paint a compelling picture of the mineralisation present at Triumph. Among the standout findings are:
- Chandlers Prospect: This area delivered spectacular grades, with rock chip samples returning up to 109 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold and 105 grams per tonne (g/t) of silver. These figures indicate a highly prospective zone for further investigation.
- Spotted Gum Prospect: Results from Spotted Gum have reportedly surpassed previous high-grade intercepts. While specific new figures are detailed below, Dart noted that earlier sampling at Spotted Gum had yielded impressive results like 1 metre at 69.8 g/t gold and 1 metre at 45.5 g/t gold, suggesting a consistent and high-grade mineral system.
- Advance Prospect: Located in proximity to Spotted Gum, the Advance prospect has also yielded significant gold and silver values. Rock chips here returned 73 g/t gold and 45 g/t silver. Additional sampling at Advance also returned grades of 21.8 g/t gold and 7.8 g/t gold, reinforcing its potential.
- Sailor Boy Prospect: East of the Norton Mine, the Sailor Boy prospect has demonstrated its potential not only for gold and silver but also for base metals. A notable sample from Sailor Boy assayed at 8.97 g/t gold, 13.45 g/t silver, and an impressive 2.11% zinc.

Dart Mining’s Chair, James Chirnside, likened the project’s potential to peeling back the layers of an onion, suggesting that with each exploration step, more valuable discoveries are being made. The company is committed to rapidly uncovering the full extent of the mineralisation at Triumph.
Advance Prospect: A Renewed Focus for Diamond Drilling
The Advance prospect is re-emerging as a key focus for Dart Mining. The company’s geologists have undertaken a comprehensive review of historical drilling data, complemented by recent fieldwork. This renewed scrutiny has elevated Advance on the priority list for upcoming diamond drilling campaigns. The objective of this drilling is to gain a more profound understanding of the geological setting and to better define the mineralisation.
Advance’s strategic location, situated only about 200 metres from the Spotted Gum prospect, suggests a strong possibility of it contributing additional ounces to the overall resource. Chirnside expressed optimism that both Advance and Spotted Gum are poised to deliver robust results once the geological intricacies are better understood.
A Solid Resource Base with Significant Exploration Upside
Triumph Gold Project currently boasts a solid foundation with an inferred resource totalling 2.16 million tonnes (Mt) at an average grade of 2.17 g/t gold, equating to approximately 150,000 ounces of gold. Beyond this defined resource, Dart has identified a substantial exploration target. This target is estimated to range between 3.1 Mt and 7.6 Mt, with the potential to host up to 613,200 ounces of gold. Encouragingly, a significant portion of these identified target lodes are located within a 500-metre radius of the current resource, making them accessible for future exploration and potential development.

The recent sampling program has demonstrated that the potential for growth is widespread across the entire Triumph system, rather than being confined to a single area. Dart Mining plans to continue its work at Coonambula before redirecting its efforts back to Triumph, with the dual aims of expanding the existing resource and actively pursuing these newly identified targets.
Dart Mining: More Than Just an Explorer
Dart Mining distinguishes itself from many junior exploration companies by possessing a tangible gold resource at Triumph. The company’s strategy of seeking incremental ounces in close proximity to its existing resource provides a more substantial narrative than typical early-stage exploration plays.
Triumph’s location within the New England Orogen is also noteworthy. This geological province, spanning parts of New South Wales and Queensland, is an underexplored but increasingly recognised trend attracting renewed attention within the mining sector.

The latest high-grade gold and silver rock-chip results from Chandlers and Spotted Gum, coupled with the enhanced drilling potential identified at the Northern Corridor and Advance prospects, position Dart Mining favourably against many of its industry peers. With an established 150,000oz resource, a significant exploration target, and a continuous stream of promising new results, Dart appears to be on a strong trajectory at the Triumph Gold Project.
