It’s already been confirmed that the next instalment of Mike White’s darkly comedic drama will whisk viewers away to a French setting, with wealthy holidaymakers checking into a new outpost of the exclusive resort. Now, HBO has unveiled three new additions to the cast, who are expected to portray locals or members of the hotel staff.
Leading this fresh wave of talent is Vincent Cassel, a renowned French actor with a significant filmography. Cassel, who previously graced the screen in Ocean’s Twelve (2004) and its 2007 sequel, Ocean’s Thirteen, is set to embark on a rare television role. At 59, his career has been marked by critical acclaim, particularly for his performances in French cinema. He earned a César Award, France’s equivalent of an Oscar, for his compelling portrayal of the notorious criminal Jacques Mesrine in a 2008 biopic. Cassel’s English-language credits include the visually striking psychological thriller Black Swan and HBO’s ambitious dystopian series Westworld.
Joining Cassel are Corentin Fila and Nadia Tereszkiewicz, both respected actors within their native France. HBO made the official announcement of these castings via the show’s Instagram account, accompanied by the caption, “New reservations continue to fill up.”
While showrunner Mike White is keeping the finer details of the characters and the overarching plot under wraps, it has been previously revealed that the star-studded ensemble cast will also feature returning favourites and new faces.
