Coleen Rooney celebrated her 40th birthday in a grand manner over the weekend, with her husband Wayne organising a lavish party to mark the special occasion. The event took place at the Rooney family home on Saturday evening, where close friends and family gathered to join in the festivities.
The couple shared several pictures from the evening on their social media platforms. Last night, Rooney posted a photo featuring singer Dermot Kennedy, captioning it: “Massive thank you to Dermot for singing at Coleen’s birthday party. Unbelievable voice, good luck with the new album mate.”
Before the celebrations began, Rooney shared a series of nostalgic photos of Coleen and their children over the years. He wrote: “Happy 40th birthday to the best wife and mum we could wish for. We can’t wait to celebrate with you and we love you all the world, Coleen.” The couple has four children together. Their first son, Kai, was born in 2009, followed by Klay in 2013, Kit in 2016, and Cass in 2018.

Coleen recently spoke about turning 40 as she launched her Primark range last month. She said: “I’m looking forward to it. I love a birthday and a celebration. I have decided to enjoy a couple of different celebrations with family and friends over the year, and with my birthday falling over Easter weekend, some friends are away, so any opportunity to extend the celebrations.”
Photos circulating online have shown Coleen posing alongside Leanne Brown, who was previously married to former footballer Wes Brown. Other former Manchester United players in attendance included Darron Gibson, Phil Jones, and Phil Bardsley. A video of Bardsley dancing was re-shared by Coleen on her Instagram account on April 5 as she reflected on the evening. She said: “Best night.”
It has been an exciting few weeks for Coleen. In March, she announced a major deal with Primark. The popular clothing brand has partnered with the mother-of-four for an exciting collection of stylish pieces called “By Coleen.”
At the launch of the new range, she captioned an Instagram post: “Gorgeous couple of days in London for the launch of Primark Presents by Coleen. The collection is something I’ve been working on with the team for over a year, and I can’t wait to see the range online and in stores worldwide on Tuesday, March 10. I hope you love the collection as much as I do. I’ve worked really hard to create pieces that make you feel and look great — all at an affordable price. For every version of you.”
She added: “Thank you to everyone involved. I’ve loved working with you all and can’t wait for what’s to come.” Speaking about the partnership, Coleen said: “Primark has been part of my life for years — I remember travelling to Manchester to shop there as a teenager and even visiting Penneys in Ireland when I was younger.”
Another major update came when a sports nutrition brand backed by Coleen confirmed a major new expansion. Applied Nutrition secured planning permission from Knowsley Council for a new 84,000 sq ft global distribution centre and corporate headquarters in Kirkby.
