With the new season set to take place on the French Riviera, several high-profile actors have been added to the list. Reappearance of Previous Characters
There has been much speculation about whether previous characters will return in Season 4. Jon Gries’ character, Greg/Gary, is expected to make a comeback, especially after appearing in Seasons 1 to 3. Natasha Rothwell, who plays Belinda, mentioned that Jon’s character is like “the barnacle of The White Lotus ship,” staying around.
However, Jon Gries himself is unsure about his return. He said, “There’s no trying to predict anything Mike White does.” He also noted that his character was originally intended to be killed off in Season 1 before Mike changed his mind.

Fans are also convinced that Natasha’s character, Belinda, and her son Zion (played by Nicholas Duvernay) have some unresolved issues from the Season 3 finale. Natasha shared, “I feel like Belinda is everyone and everyone is Belinda and so, maybe, selfishly, they want to be a part of it, through me.”
Mike White has also hinted at the possibility of an “all-star” season featuring beloved characters from previous seasons.

Location and Filming Details
For the past three seasons, The White Lotus has been filmed in stunning locations such as Koh Samui, Sicily, and Hawaii. Season 4 will continue this trend, with reports suggesting filming will take place in Paris and the French Riviera.

According to Variety, the anthology series is reportedly being shot in the countryside of the French Riviera, with some plot points set in Paris. However, this hasn’t been officially confirmed by Mike White or HBO.
Previously, Mike White had hinted that he wanted to move away from beach settings in Season 4. He told Deadline in April, “For the fourth season, I want to get a little bit out of the crashing waves of rocks vernacular.” But he also joked, “But there’s always more room for more murders at the White Lotus hotels.”

The partnership with Four Seasons hotels, which had been used for previous seasons, reportedly ended before Season 4 began. This means it’s unclear which hotels will feature in the upcoming season.
Release Date and Trailer
As of now, HBO and Mike White have not announced a release date for The White Lotus Season 4. However, it is expected to drop between late 2026 and early 2027.

There is currently no trailer available for Season 4, as filming has not yet begun. Fans can catch up on previous seasons on HBO Max.
With the cast growing and the location shifting to the French Riviera, The White Lotus Season 4 promises to be another compelling chapter in the dark comedy series.
