Leandro Trossard’s wife has taken significant steps to erase all references to her husband from her social media profiles, suggesting that the Arsenal star might be facing personal challenges outside of football. The 31-year-old Belgian player has been a key figure in what could be an unforgettable season for the Gunners as they compete for both the Premier League and Champions League titles.
Trossard has made 47 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring seven goals. He is expected to play a crucial role in the upcoming match against West Ham on Sunday afternoon. Arsenal currently sit at the top of the Premier League table with three games remaining, and the title is within their grasp. They are also in the Champions League final, where they will face Paris Saint-Germain, a team known for its strong performances this season. This final represents a chance for Arsenal to secure their first major European trophy.
Despite these promising prospects, Trossard may be dealing with personal issues during this critical time. His wife, Laura Hilven, has deleted all images and mentions of him from her Instagram profile. The couple, who have been together for over 12 years and married in 2019, have two sons, born in April 2017 and January 2023. However, Hilven has now removed all traces of Trossard from her online presence, leaving no indication of their past relationship.
A source shared with the Sun: “Laura used to have many photos on her Instagram showing her and Leandro on their wedding day, on holidays, and going out on date nights, but she has wiped them all. If someone looked at her profile now, they would have no clue that they had ever been together, let alone married.”
Trossard recently played in the 1-0 victory over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League semi-final and quickly shifted his focus back to the Premier League title race. He expressed his determination to win the league and then prepare for the final. “We just want to win the Premier League and then we have a big final ahead. We have three important games in the Premier League and we know what we’re playing for,” he said.
He added, “I think it’s been 20 years for everyone involved with Arsenal, so it’s amazing to go there and obviously the focus shifts to the Premier League, but let’s enjoy this and it’s an amazing feeling.” Trossard emphasized the importance of maintaining belief and being ready for the challenges ahead.
Mikel Arteta, the Arsenal manager, echoed similar sentiments, stating, “We talked immediately after the game, and this is great. What a moment, we earned it. We’ll have time to prepare and get ready for that final, but now the focus, the attention, the detail, the energy, everything has to be put into West Ham, there is nothing else there, and we made it very clear.”
The upcoming match against West Ham is a crucial one, with the game set to take place at 4:30 pm on Sunday. Both teams are vying for positions in the Premier League, making this clash highly anticipated.
