Hollywood Power Couple Enjoys Wrexham Adventures Amidst FA Cup Exit and Legal Battles
Hollywood’s golden couple, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, recently graced the football pitches and countryside of Wrexham, Wales, sharing a rare glimpse into their personal lives via Instagram. The snaps emerged during a whirlwind week that saw Reynolds’ beloved Wrexham AFC team eliminated from the FA Cup fifth round clash against Premier League giants Chelsea. Despite the sporting disappointment, the pair exuded happiness, enjoying the match from a private suite at the historic Racecourse Ground.
Following the game, the dynamic duo stepped onto the hallowed turf for a heartwarming photo opportunity. This moment came after Reynolds, known for his quick wit and Deadpool persona, made his debut as a football commentator for Sky Sports during the match, adding another feather to his already impressive cap.

Beyond the roar of the crowd and the thrill of the game, Lively and Reynolds carved out time for a more serene, yet equally captivating, outing. The couple indulged in a date at a local Owl Sanctuary, embracing the opportunity to get up close and personal with the majestic nocturnal birds of prey.
Blake Lively showcased her impeccable style, opting for a chic, practical ensemble. She was seen sporting a khaki long waterproof jacket, perfectly complemented by a matching winter hat. Her outfit was rounded off with a stylish brown suede shirt, classic checked trousers, and elegant tan shoes, proving that comfort and fashion can go hand in hand even in the Welsh chill.
Meanwhile, Ryan Reynolds cut a dapper figure in a sophisticated beige jumper layered beneath a smart navy coat and matching trousers. In a playful nod to his superhero alter-ego, Reynolds couldn’t resist posing for a photo while sporting a pair of oversized green Hulk hands, a humorous touch that delighted fans. The couple shared a truly loved-up selfie, their eyes locked in a tender embrace, capturing the genuine affection they share.
Ryan Reynolds succinctly summed up their eventful week with a simple yet evocative Instagram caption: “What a week.”
Legal Clouds Gather: Lively’s Lawsuit and Reynolds’ Partner’s Legal Entanglements
While the Wrexham escapade painted a picture of idyllic celebrity life, the backdrop to Blake Lively’s recent public appearances has been a complex and ongoing legal battle. This comes just two months before Lively is slated to face trial in New York City in May concerning her lawsuit against actor Justin Baldoni.
The actress initiated legal proceedings in December 2024, levelling accusations of sexual harassment and a concerted smear campaign against Baldoni. The pair had previously collaborated on the 2024 film It Ends With Us, a project where Baldoni not only starred but also took on directing duties.
In a dramatic counter-move, Baldoni retaliated with a substantial lawsuit of his own, reportedly seeking $400 million from Lively. Furthermore, he launched a $250 million libel claim against The New York Times, an outlet that had published reports detailing Lively’s allegations. However, a judge saw fit to dismiss this particular case in June of the previous year.
The legal saga continued to unfold in February of this year, when both Lively and Baldoni attended a settlement hearing in New York City. The negotiations, however, proved to be fraught, with the actress abruptly departing after approximately six hours of discussions.

Lively was observed exiting the courtroom accompanied by her legal counsel, Michael Gottleb. Shortly thereafter, Baldoni emerged from the courthouse, his wife Emily by his side to offer support. When questioned about the potential resumption of settlement talks, his attorney, Bryan Freedman, offered a non-committal response: “I don’t know that he will.”
This wasn’t the first attempt at resolution. A prior settlement conference took place on January 22, though neither Lively nor Baldoni were in attendance. This meeting occurred shortly after legal filings brought to light what were described as Lively’s private and often explosive text messages exchanged with some of her A-list associates.
The following day, Baldoni made another appearance at the courthouse, marking his second day of settlement hearings related to his ongoing litigation with Lively. He was present at the U.S. District Court in Manhattan for proceedings connected to a case involving his former publicist, Stephanie Jones.
More recently, audio tapes obtained by the Daily Mail have surfaced, reportedly revealing Baldoni’s insistence that Lively be cast in the pivotal role of Lily Bloom in It Ends With Us. This detail adds another layer to the narrative, particularly as fans of the novel had vocally expressed their desire for Abigail Cowen, known for her role in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, to be considered for the part.

According to these reports, Baldoni conveyed to Lively his reservations about casting a “22-year-old fresh out of college” for the role. He further elaborated on his vision for the film, stating, “That’s not the movie I was interested in making,” a comment seemingly aimed at films featuring a significant age gap between the romantic leads, with an older male protagonist and a much younger love interest.
The highly anticipated trial, stemming from these complex legal entanglements, is currently scheduled to commence on May 18 in New York City, promising to shed further light on the intricate details of this high-profile dispute.
