Brooklyn Peltz Beckham’s recent social media activity has once again sparked a conversation, this time around a post shared on Mother’s Day in the UK. This incident comes amidst a period of reported estrangement between Brooklyn and his parents, Victoria and David Beckham.
Earlier this year, Brooklyn publicly detailed a significant rift within the family, making accusations in a lengthy Instagram statement. He alleged that his parents prioritized “Brand Beckham” and public appearances over genuine family connection, suggesting that familial affection was measured by social media engagement and the willingness to participate in photo opportunities, even at the expense of personal obligations.

Brooklyn’s statement also included claims that his parents had consistently disrespected his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, and had actively tried to undermine their relationship prior to their 2022 wedding. He described feeling particularly uncomfortable at the wedding when, according to him, Victoria “hijacked” his first dance with Nicola, a moment that had been meticulously planned, and performed an “inappropriate” dance. He stated that this experience left him feeling “uncomfortable and humiliated.” Brooklyn further revealed that he and Nicola later renewed their vows as a means to create new, positive memories of their wedding day, free from anxiety and embarrassment.

While David and Victoria Beckham did not issue a public response to Brooklyn’s initial statement, sources close to the couple indicated they were “horrified.” Another source suggested that David and Victoria believe time will mend the rift and that Brooklyn will eventually reconcile with them. Reports from 2025 hinted at a formal communication channel, suggesting that Brooklyn had sent his parents a legal letter requesting that all contact be made through lawyers, a situation that seemingly implies communication is now managed through intermediaries.

Despite the reported distance, David and Victoria have made public gestures of reconciliation. On Brooklyn’s 27th birthday earlier this month, both parents shared heartfelt tributes on Instagram. David posted a collection of photos, including a nostalgic image of himself, Victoria, and a young Brooklyn, accompanied by a caption expressing love and well wishes.

Victoria also shared a tribute, featuring a black-and-white photograph of herself with a toddler Brooklyn, reiterating her love for him. Brooklyn, however, did not publicly acknowledge these posts from his parents.
Instead, Brooklyn has continued to express affection towards the Peltz family. Following a birthday surprise from Nicola, which included pink donuts spelling out “Happy Birthday Brooklyn,” he affectionately referred to her as his “baby girl” in a comment. On the recent UK Mother’s Day, Brooklyn posted a tribute to Nicola’s mother, Claudia Heffner Peltz, for her March 12th birthday. He reposted a picture of himself, Nicola, and Claudia, captioning it, “Happy birthday to the best mother in law. Love u so much and hope u had the most amazing day.”

This specific post, shared on Mother’s Day, drew criticism from some social media users who perceived it as a deliberate and “sad” move. Comments described the action as “low,” “harsh,” and “cruel.” Some users expressed disappointment, stating, “He never heard of when they go low we go high. This is soooooo LOW.” Others found the post to be “nasty” and predicted it would cause lasting hurt.

Meanwhile, on Mother’s Day, David Beckham shared a touching tribute to Victoria, posting a throwback picture of a pregnant Victoria. He lauded her as an “inspiration” and the “most amazing mummy,” expressing gratitude for the family they have created and wishing her a special day. Victoria responded to his post with a simple message of love for her family.
