Casemiro and Sesko Missing from Man Utd Lineup for Sunderland Clash

Key Players Missing from Manchester United’s Lineup

Several key players have been left out of the squad for Manchester United’s Premier League match against Sunderland this afternoon. Among those absent are Casemiro and Benjamin Sesko, both of whom are dealing with injuries that have impacted their availability.

Sesko was forced off during the first half of the 3-2 victory over Liverpool last weekend. The Slovenia international aggravated a shin injury after a heavy landing on the pitch at Old Trafford. Speaking on Friday, Michael Carrick confirmed that Sesko was a doubt for the upcoming game, and as a result, he did not make the trip to Wearside.

Casemiro is also missing from the lineup due to a minor issue. According to reports from The Sun, the Brazilian midfielder is not ready for action and is expected to return next week. His absence creates an opportunity for other players to step up in his place.

Manuel Ugarte is another player who has been ruled out due to an injury sustained during training. With both Casemiro and Ugarte unavailable, Kobbie Mainoo has found a new partner in midfield. Mason Mount has moved into a deeper role to accommodate this change.

In addition to Mainoo and Mount, Tyler and Jack Fletcher—sons of club legend Darren Fletcher—are the only other available midfielders for Manchester United. Both players have been named among the substitutes for the match.
