Charlotte Crosby’s Complaint About Reality Stars Being Banned from Celebrity Traitors
Charlotte Crosby, a well-known figure from the reality TV show Geordie Shore, has expressed her frustration regarding the exclusion of reality TV stars from the upcoming series of Celebrity Traitors. The 35-year-old TV personality, who gained fame through MTV and has also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, claims that insiders have informed her that the BBC does not want to include reality stars in the line-up for the show set in a Scottish castle.
The show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, is currently in production for its second series at Ardross Castle. However, there are no reality stars among the participants. Speaking to the Daily Mail at the TV BAFTAs, Charlotte shared her disappointment: “I’d absolutely love to [take part in Celebrity Traitors] but I don’t think it’s possible with reality TV. Apparently it’s a rule, I’ve heard from an insider but I’d love to.” She added, “That’s right up my street.”

What is Celebrity Traitors?
Celebrity Traitors is a high-stakes psychological competition where a small group of ‘Traitors’ secretly plots to murder ‘Faithful’ contestants, aiming to remain undetected and win a cash prize. Meanwhile, the Faithfuls attempt to identify and banish the Traitors.
JLS Members Weigh In on Potential Traitors
Aston Merrygold, a member of the band JLS, shared his thoughts on who would make the best Traitor. He suggested Marvin Humes, stating, “When Marvin did the jungle he knew about that for a little while and he only told us a week before.” He also mentioned that JB couldn’t lie, saying, “He’d be a very good faithful.”
Aston, Marvin, and JB are joined in the band by Oritsé Williams.
The Star-Studded Line-Up Revealed
After months of speculation about who could follow in the footsteps of last year’s winner Alan Carr, the 21 names were finally revealed in a quirky new trailer. The A-list line-up was officially announced when the broadcaster released the first teaser trailer last week. Among the participants are Maya Jama, Richard E Grant, Jerry Hall, Romesh Ranganathan, and Ross Kemp.
Other notable names include Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Michael Sheen, Bella Ramsay, Amol Rajan, James Blunt, Rob Beckett, Joe Lycett, Miranda Hart, and James Acaster.

Celebrities Share Their Thoughts on the Upcoming Series
As filming begins in the Scottish Highlands, celebrities have shared their predictions on who they think will win the upcoming series. Freddie Fraser said, “I’d like Maya Jama to win.” Paul Gorton, a previous Traitors winner, added, “Yes yes but who COULD win that show? Is it Miranda? I could see Miranda winning as a traitor. The issue is Alan Carr has completely ruined the game for everyone.”
Harry Clark, another Traitors winner, commented, “Maya Jama we’d love to see as a Traitor, very nonchalant.” He also questioned how Ross Kemp, known as the UK’s hardest man, would handle himself under pressure on the show. “If you think it’s him how do you even tell Ross Kemp you think it’s him! I’d tell him and then be like yeah sorry I ever thought it was you!”
Increased Budget and Improved Logistics
The BBC has reportedly increased the budget for the upcoming series of Celebrity Traitors. Stars have arrived in the highlands via planes and private jets, a significant change from last year when many contestants traveled by train. Additionally, the production team has upgraded security measures to ensure the safety of the stars and keep the castle’s activities confidential ahead of the show’s transmission later this year.
A source revealed, “Although most of the stars are British, so many of them are used to working in America that their teams are used to the treatment.” They added, “The production team have little choice, however, than to cater for their demands because they accept the number of A-listers taking part in this year’s show makes it exceptional.”
The Daily Mail has contacted the BBC for comment.
