A Night of Elegance and Recognition
DCI Microfinance concluded the year with a spectacular End of Year Dinner & Awards Night 2025, an event that brought together employees, directors, and clients in a celebration of excellence. The evening took place on December 13, 2025, at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, where the theme “Diamond Black” set the tone for a night of sophistication, culture, and recognition.
A Grand Arrival
The night began with the “Diamond Black Arrival & Black Carpet Experience,” offering guests a luxurious start to the evening. The venue was adorned with shimmering lights and diamond-patterned installations, creating an atmosphere of elegance. Guests were welcomed by ushers dressed in themed attire, while they enjoyed branded cocktails and live jazz-inspired music. Hosted interviews and photography captured moments of confidence and camaraderie, and a mellow performance by Darley Music helped ease guests into the celebratory mood.
At exactly 8:00pm, the formal gala commenced with a warm welcome from the MC, followed by an opening prayer by Samuel Yallow. The Managing Director, Selasie Woanyah, officially welcomed the guests, expressing DCI’s appreciation for dedication, resilience, and shared success throughout the year.
Honoring Excellence
The awards were presented in three carefully paced batches, with the first introduced by Kwesi Austin, Board Secretary, whose official notices added institutional gravitas to the recognitions.
The night’s highest honor, The Brightest Diamond Award (Employee of the Year), was awarded to Solomon Tetteh Adusu. His influence and impact were further highlighted when he also received The Prof. Omane Antwi Award for Leadership, marking a defining moment of the evening.
A notable highlight was the presentation of the Blue Diamond Award, reserved for exceptional contributors whose influence spans across roles and departments. This award was given to Christopher Agyeman, James Narh Tokoli, Kwesi Austin, Reginald Grantson Neequaye, Anthony Yao Appiah, Elizabeth Dorcas Sackey, and Robert Brewoo.

- The John Williams’ Award for Service Excellence – Abigail Victoria Odeniyi
- The Albert Andoh Award for Innovation – John Lawerh Akuaku

Team excellence was celebrated in full measure. The Operations Department received the Dr. Joseph Obeng Award for Operations Team of the Year, while GB Ollivant was honored with the Darling Tuffour Award for Marketing Team of the Year, highlighting collaborative performance and sustained results.

A comedy performance by Jerry Ashiyon lifted spirits, while Elorm GH’s harmonica artistry created a soulful pause before the after-party. The evening ended with energetic music, dancing, and candid interactions between staff, directors, and clients.
