The latest episode of Euphoria season three has left fans reeling with its intense and violent portrayal of a wedding. HBO has once again delivered a shocking moment that has drawn comparisons to some of the most infamous weddings in television history.
In this episode, viewers were treated to a scene where Nate (played by Jacob Elordi) and Cassie (played by Sydney Sweeney) are seen bloodied, crying, and screaming in their wedding attire. The episode’s climax sees the newlyweds return home after their reception to find debt collectors waiting for Nate. The attackers knock Cassie down and brutally beat Nate before cutting off his pinky toe, all while Cassie watches in horror.
This brutal ending immediately sparked comparisons to the iconic Red Wedding from Game of Thrones, which was known for its shocking massacre during a wedding feast. Fans took to social media to express their reactions:
