Richard Fleeshman and Celinde Schoenmaker Tie the Knot
Richard Fleeshman, a former Coronation Street star, has announced his marriage to Dutch actress Celinde Schoenmaker. The couple, who became engaged four years ago, celebrated their union in a lavish private ceremony in Cumbria. The event was described as “unforgettable” by the pair, who shared glimpses of their special day on Instagram.
The 36-year-old actor, known for his role as Craig Harris on Coronation Street, and the 37-year-old Rocketman actress, Celinde, looked more in love than ever during the celebration. They were seen in a video walking outside to their family and friends, who threw confetti after they said “I do.”
Celinde dazzled in an off-the-shoulder white wedding gown and veil as the couple posed for their wedding photos. They also enjoyed a private dance together, marking the beginning of their new life as husband and wife.
In their post, the couple wrote:
“Last weekend we went up to our favorite place in the world @thecountryhousediaries and surrounded by just our families we got married. It was incredibly special to have three generations under one roof for the first time in 11 years. To our dear friends Ben and Paul who made it possible, we love you and are so deeply grateful for you both. To our families thank you for everything and for making it so unforgettable. To our friends…we don’t know when yet but there’s a big ol party in the works at some point so stay tuned x. R&C.”
Their post received an overwhelming response from fans and fellow celebrities. Claire Sweeney, Catherine Tyldesley, and Giovanna Fletcher flooded the comments with messages of congratulations. Some of the responses included:

A New Chapter in Their Lives
In 2024, Richard and Celinde welcomed their first child, a daughter named Coco Beau Fleeshman. In a joint post, Celinde shared the joyous news:
“At 8.08am On 30-11-2024 our world exploded into technicolor as we welcomed our daughter into the world. Coco Beau Fleeshman, we love you beyond words. ❤️”
Celinde is best known for her appearances in several West End productions, including Les Misérables, The Phantom Of The Opera, and Guys And Dolls. She has built a successful career in theatre and film, while Richard has made a name for himself in television and stage.
Richard joined Coronation Street in 2002 at the age of 12, and four years later he showcased his vocal talents by winning Soapstar Superstar in 2006. This victory earned him £200,000 for his chosen charity. He left the soap that same year.
Since then, Richard has appeared in shows such as Midsomer Murders and Call The Midwife. He is currently seen as Lt. James Brice on the sci-fi show The Ark. Additionally, he has performed on the West End in Ghost: The Musical, which was based on the film featuring Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore.
A Multi-Talented Star
As well as being well known on both stage and screen, Richard is a singer-songwriter. His musical talents have led to collaborations with renowned artists. For instance, he supported Elton John on tour in 2008 on three occasions.
The actor’s Instagram page features moments of him performing with Sting on several separate occasions. In one video posted to his Instagram, he is singing with the Every Breath You Take singer, Sting.

Family Legacy
Richard’s mother, Sue Jenkies, is also an actress who starred in Coronation Street in the 1980s as Gloria Todd. Her career in television has influenced Richard’s own path in the entertainment industry.
