Jonas Hayes, a former standout player for the Georgia Bulldogs basketball team, has been appointed as an assistant coach under Mike White for the 2026-27 season. An Atlanta native, Hayes was previously an assistant coach on the Georgia Bulldogs’ staff from 2013 to 2018. His journey with the Bulldogs includes a total of 11 seasons, both as a player and a coach. Hayes and his twin brother Jarvis originally transferred to Georgia from Western Carolina before the 2001 season. As a player, Hayes averaged 11.9 points and 5.3 rebounds during his final year with the Bulldogs in the 2003-04 season, solidifying his legacy as a key figure in Georgia basketball history.
