Hailee Steinfeld’s “Gorgeous” Baby Shower: A Crafty Celebration with a Personal Touch
Hollywood star Hailee Steinfeld recently offered fans an intimate glimpse into her baby shower, a charming and heartfelt gathering organised by her mother. The event, described as “gorgeous” by the expectant actress, brought together her nearest and dearest for a relaxed celebration in her Los Angeles backyard.
Steinfeld, who is expecting her first child with football star Josh Allen, shared details of the special occasion via her Beau Society newsletter. “On a sunny Saturday in LA, my mom and about 30 women I love so much gathered in my most comfortable place — my backyard — for a baby shower. My mom planned the entire gorgeous thing,” she wrote on her Substack.
While there wasn’t a strict theme, a subtle thread of nursery rhymes was artfully woven into the decor, creating a whimsical and nostalgic atmosphere.
Adding to the literary charm, nursery books were a prominent feature, scattered throughout the space. “Everyone brought a book, so this baby is building quite the little library,” Steinfeld noted, highlighting the thoughtfulness of her guests.
A particularly touching element of the shower was a knitting station set up by Steinfeld’s mother. This allowed guests to contribute to the baby’s wardrobe in a meaningful way, creating handmade items for the little one.
The actress revealed that this activity held significant personal meaning for her. “It’s a very full-circle moment for me because my mom took up knitting when I made my first movie,” she explained. “She was sitting in a trailer all day and needed something to do. It was Sudoku or knitting, and she chose the latter. Our family would joke that she was going to knit the red carpet because she didn’t stop.”
Steinfeld continued, sharing her own budding connection with the craft. “She taught me how to knit way back when. I can’t really cast on or off, but I was able to knit a square to put on this baby’s blanket. I feel like I reopened a fun hobby.”
The actress and the celebrated athlete officially tied the knot in May 2025, a union that Steinfeld openly cherishes. She has previously expressed her profound gratitude for Allen’s presence in her life.
In an earlier newsletter, Steinfeld gushed about their relationship: “I literally thank God every day that I found my person, and it’s the greatest thing in the world. Life makes sense. Everything makes sense. I feel like I am stepping into the version that I’ve always dreamed of being, having so much to do with being with him.” This sentiment undoubtedly adds another layer of joy and anticipation to the upcoming arrival of their child.
