Chelsy Davy Welcomes Third Child, Embraces Motherhood and Career
Chelsy Davy, widely recognized for her past relationship with Prince Harry, has joyfully announced the arrival of her third child. The former City lawyer shared the heartwarming news on Instagram, revealing the birth of her baby boy, Finn, last week. The announcement was accompanied by tender images of Davy cradling her newborn, with her two older children affectionately looking on.
In a heartfelt message, Davy reflected on the return to the “hazy newborn days,” calling it a “beautiful reminder of just how remarkable mothers are.” She candidly discussed the demands of balancing her businesses with raising her children, stating, “Running Aya alongside raising Finn, Chloe and Leo is a juggle, but it’s one I’ve chosen.” Davy went on to express her appreciation for the modern world’s opportunities for women to shape their lives according to their own desires, whether that involves motherhood, a career, creative pursuits, or other paths.
“This Mother’s Day, I’m embracing the juggle I’ve chosen – and celebrating all of you embracing yours,” she added, extending well wishes for a happy Mother’s Day to her followers.

Davy, who dated Prince Harry on and off for seven years between 2004 and 2011, welcomed her first child, a son named Leo, in 2022. Her husband, Sam Cutmore-Scott, is an Eton-educated hotelier. The couple’s second child, a daughter believed to be named Chloe, arrived in September 2024, with Davy announcing her birth in a similarly understated manner.
The jewelry designer married Cutmore-Scott, a successful hotelier who was a year ahead of Prince Harry at Eton College, in a private ceremony in 2022. The birth of her first child, Leo, in January 2022 was kept exceptionally private, with his arrival only becoming public knowledge three months later when he was introduced to their local parish council in Norfolk. Many of Davy’s friends were reportedly unaware of her pregnancy during the lockdown period.
Sam Cutmore-Scott is the brother of actor Jack Cutmore-Scott, known for his roles in Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet” and the television series “Deception.” The siblings are reportedly close, and Davy is understood to have spent time with Jack in Los Angeles since meeting her husband approximately five years ago. The couple was first photographed together on a family vacation in Mauritius during Christmas 2019.
Chelsy Davy and Sam Cutmore-Scott, an Oxford graduate and managing director of the family business, The Harper Hotel in Holt, are believed to divide their time between a home in Chiswick and their property on the Norfolk coast. A friend confirmed their marriage to the Daily Mail in May 2022, noting that “very few people knew about the wedding.”
Davy’s relationship with Prince Harry was a significant chapter in her life. The two met in London while attending school and began their relationship in 2004 during Harry’s gap year travels in Zimbabwe, where Davy’s father owns a game reserve. Their romance became serious enough that palace officials noted Harry referring to Davy as “wifey” and she him as “hubby.” Davy’s integration into the royal fold was evident when she attended the wedding of Prince Harry’s cousin, Peter Phillips, to Autumn Kelly, where she was introduced to Queen Elizabeth II. She was also invited to then-Prince Charles’s 60th birthday celebrations.

Ultimately, the pressures of their demanding careers and prolonged separations, particularly during Harry’s military service in Afghanistan, contributed to their eventual split in 2010. Since then, Davy has largely maintained a lower profile.
Once known for her vibrant social life, Davy, who was born in Zimbabwe and now runs a jewelry and luxury travel business, revealed in 2020 that she was in a serious relationship. At the time, she kept her partner’s identity private, stating, “There is someone, and I am quite taken by this one, but it’s very new and I don’t want to say too much.” Her last publicly known relationship prior to this was with television producer James Marshall, from whom she separated in 2018.
