Uncomfortable Moment on Live TV
During a match between Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2026, an unexpected moment occurred that caused tension in the stadium. This incident involved Harsha Bhogle, a well-known commentator, and Vikram Solanki, the Director of Cricket for Gujarat Titans.
The situation took place when Bhogle was conducting an interview with Solanki while they were on the sidelines. During their conversation, Bhogle asked Solanki about his age after they had already started talking normally.
Bhogle said:
“Someone just told me you celebrated your 50th the other day. That’s not true, isn’t it? You look trim and young.”
Solanki took the question as a compliment, but it led to some negative reactions. He responded by saying:
“I’ll tell you what Harsha. You’re having a couple of opportunities to make sure you’re raising a couple of points on my behalf. How about we stick to the cricket and talk about the guys that are out there.”
His response was direct and clear. Bhogle seemed surprised and slightly embarrassed, but he handled the situation calmly and continued with a laugh.
Fan Reactions on Social Media
Soon after the exchange, the video clip of their interaction began circulating online. Many fans supported Solanki, arguing that interviews during live matches should focus solely on cricket. Some believed that personal questions were unnecessary during such broadcasts.
Others did not see the incident as significant and praised Bhogle for staying calm and composed. The event sparked a broader debate about how interviews should be conducted during live match telecasts.
Who is Vikram Solanki?
