Jackie ‘O’ Henderson Seen Inspecting Multi-Million Dollar Dream Home Amidst Radio Contract Fallout
Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, the well-known media personality, was recently spotted in Clovelly, Sydney, taking a keen interest in the construction of her soon-to-be dream home. The sighting comes at a tumultuous time for Henderson and her long-time radio co-host, Kyle Sandilands, following the termination of their contracts with KIIS FM.

Henderson, 51, cut a relaxed yet focused figure as she met with her high-profile interior designer, Steve Cordony, at the construction site. Her choice of attire, a loose-fitting, wheat-coloured T-shirt from Byron Bay label Spell, seemed to offer a subtle yet poignant message about her immediate plans. The shirt bore the empowering slogan: ‘Go slow for a little while.’

This particular garment is a collaboration between Spell and First Nations singer-songwriter Nidala Barker. The statement on Henderson’s shirt is directly inspired by Barker’s track, “One Of Those Days.” The lyrics of the song further amplify the sentiment, with lines such as: ‘This is not a call for help / I’ll be alright please don’t fret / I just need to go slow / Go slow for a little while.’ This suggests a desire for a period of respite and personal reflection amidst the professional upheaval.
A Business-Like Approach to Home Construction
Despite the laid-back nature of her casual wear, the atmosphere at the construction site appeared decidedly professional. Henderson and Cordony were observed diligently inspecting the progress of the extensive home rebuild. Henderson completed her ensemble with comfortable, loose-fitting cargo pants, cinched at the waist with an oversized leather belt tied in a knot. Her flaxen hair was worn down, and she shielded her eyes with classic black Ray-Ban sunglasses, carrying a stylish leather handbag over her shoulder.
The pair, while engrossed in their work, also shared a warm, personal moment, embracing as they bid farewell. This glimpse into Henderson’s personal life and her significant investment in her Clovelly property offers a contrast to the recent professional drama.
The Bombshell Termination and Kyle Sandilands’ Response
The sighting of Henderson at her construction site follows a significant announcement from ARN, the parent company of KIIS FM. ARN officially terminated Sandilands’ contract in a move that has sent shockwaves through the radio industry. This decision came shortly after an on-air altercation between Sandilands and Henderson, which, according to Sandilands, was a typical disagreement between the long-standing radio duo.

In a strong statement obtained by Daily Mail, a visibly disgruntled 54-year-old Sandilands expressed his refusal to accept the termination of his role at ARN. He confirmed that the matter has now been escalated to his legal team, asserting that the contract termination is invalid.
Sandilands detailed his perspective on the events, stating: “ARN has just announced they’ve terminated my contract. I don’t accept it. My lawyers told them last week this would be invalid. And guess what? It is.” He elaborated on the sequence of events: “Let me tell you what actually happened here. Jackie and I had a blue on air. That’s it. The kind of thing we’ve done a hundred times in 25 years. And ARN took the situation and decided to try and burn the place down. They sacked Jackie. They suspended me. They wouldn’t even let me pick up the phone to call her or anyone else on the show.”

He further articulated his frustration with ARN’s subsequent actions: “Then – and this is the bit that gets me – once they’d made it impossible for the show to go on, they turn around and say, ‘You didn’t fix it. You’re fired!'” Sandilands revealed that he had apologised to Henderson the night after their on-air dispute, an apology he maintains was sincere. “I said sorry to Jackie the night of our blow-up. And when I said I was sorry to Jackie, I meant it. I still mean it,” he explained.
Sandilands also conveyed his commitment to his listeners, stating, “But it doesn’t mean I will stand by while I am separated from the people who’ve listened to me every morning for 25 years.” He recounted his attempts to resolve the situation with ARN, including offering to return to air with Henderson or another colleague, but was met with consistent refusals. “Before they suspended me, ARN said, ‘Let us handle it,’ and I listened. In the two weeks since, I’ve done everything ARN asked. I said, put me back on air. I’ll work with Jackie. I’ll work with someone else. Whatever you need. Every single time – ‘no.’ They weren’t interested. They didn’t want to fix this,” he concluded.
Henderson’s Future and a Lavish Property Portfolio
While Henderson has remained largely private about her professional future, she has firmly dismissed any speculation that ARN offered her a solo radio show. Reports indicate that the media personality has no desire to pursue a broadcasting career without her long-time co-host. When questioned by paparazzi about her plans for a solo radio show after leaving her hairdresser in Bondi, Henderson unequivocally responded, “Oh, no.”

Meanwhile, Henderson’s Clovelly property is poised to become an incredibly valuable asset, with its estimated worth expected to reach a staggering $30 million upon completion of the rebuild. Located in one of Australia’s most desirable coastal areas, the extensive renovation project is reportedly costing a substantial $5 million.
The oceanfront property, a significant undertaking managed by Robert Plumb Build and Madeleine Blanchfield Architects, is progressing rapidly. The multi-level concrete structure is now clearly defined, showcasing the impressive curved pool that promises to be a show-stopping feature. The original 1960s-era six-bedroom, three-storey home has been completely cleared to make way for this ambitious new build, offering a blank canvas for the expansive design.
This move to a new, grander residence follows Henderson’s successful sale of her former home in Woollahra. She reportedly pocketed a considerable $2 million profit from the sale, having acquired the Woollahra property for $11 million in 2020.
